You're starting to sound like Donald Trump. You just need to include, "believe me" in every statement.

Lemon and sugar, or syrup, is exactly how they should be eaten.

The main difference is that pancake batter has a raising agent in it, such as baking powder or baking soda, and crepe batter does not. This means that pancakes are thicker and fluffy while crêpes are thin and flat.

Or start with "the reality is" like all good leftie politicians when disagreeing but are unable to back up their arguments with facts. Wish I had a quid for every time Sturgeon says "fundamentally" as well.

By people with a knowledge of tradition and not fully of fancy arty-farty notions. Do you eat your pancakes off a slate or wooden board with an artistic doodle of some fluid next to it?

As I said above, I don't really eat them.

Partly because just lemon and sugar as a topping is one of the most dull tastes imaginable.

I have mine with strawberry jam and a sprinkling of sugar and I have them when I fancy them, rather than on pancake day.

In fact, I think I'm having some tonight, having not had any last night.

    Rebel without a pancake.

We're having pancakes tonight, after camera club, with a selection from ice-cream, chocolate buttons, flakes, marshmallows, Nutella, lemon juice, maple syrup, bananas, raspberries, strawberries & blueberries.

    I'll toss when I want.

The clue in the name "Pancake Day" should make it fairly clear that the thing millions of families eat every year is not a ****ing crepe.

The clue is in the name, but I bet millions of families know how to make proper pancakes.
