See that's going too far in the opposite direction to Zanj! He is no where near one of your best signings, infact, for the price, you could argue he is the worst of Uniteds signings so far. Not worst in the PL this season, but a case could be argued for him being United's worst. He basically did **** all for the first half of the season, and its not like he had to get used to the club, or British Football, as he had been here before. He only played a few games for the United first team in his first term in England, but i'll bet he played a **** load of reserve and U21 games. Like I said, second half the season, he has started to find his feet and have more of an impact, especially in Europe, but he has nowhere near justified anything like the fee United paid for him. As people have said, you pay £89m for someone, you expect a ****ing beast of a player (Ronaldo, Bale, Suarez etc). And Pogba has been no beast.
Sissoko for Spurs. Was going to add Janssen, but he at least has the age and no PL experience excuses on his side.
I can't believe he cost £30 million, I mean, They could've got Henrikh Mkhitaryan for a couple of million pounds less as well.
I wasn't serious about Pogba mate. I don't think he's a good signing but he's nowhere near the worst and in time he could prove to be a great asset too.
Aye I know. You and Matth went to both extremes, when he is somewhere in the middle. Difference was, you were kidding, Matth wasn't Not even a contest as to who United's best signing has been.....Zlatan.....no argument.
Agreed. I'd only put Kante above him in the PL version too. Pogba is not in the same atmosphere as those two! Edit: Pogba for £89m vs Kante for £30m...?
So your top signings for Man Utd this season are Zlatan, Pogba, Henry Ryan and Bailly? Did you actually sign anyone else?
1. Not sure how much Spurs had to pay up front for Sissoko. No matter how well Levy did on that front, the general consensus is it was still N million quid too much. 2. Midichlorian would not have come to Spurs for the wages he would have got.
I agree with your last point, I think they have a strict wage structure as well if I remember correctly.
Constrained (Spurs are the lowest of the top 6 in terms of financial power) , but within that meritocratic (the likes of Bale/Kane etc got/get the most because their performance warrants it) .
