    Bollocks.

We've just lost 6 on the trot, 1 win in 10, no goal in 7.

    No manager survives that.

Liverpool take the moral victory from today.

Not due to any merit or achievement... I just want some sort of victory. We won the fair play victory against Leicester too. Suck it Leicester.

That can't be proven at all, all just part of the speculation thrown around to make the club look bad. Our owners have proven they won't just sack a manager off a short run of bad results and there really has to be a problem off the pitch, look at Pearson and what he survived on and off the pitch (FOAD-gate, strange-gate, ostrich-gate). I think the owners would have sacked him regardless if they feel much of the previous good work building the club has been undone.
What I would say is if it wasn't for last season, he'd have in fact gone a long time ago as oppose to still be in the job. I think he's only got as long as he did with the team performances being utter utter dross because of last season

First of all well done Leicester. Terrible game, our players should be shot for lack of effort. We just gave away 3 points, handed it over before a ball was kicked.

One of the rare occasions this season where we have shown more desire than the opposition...plus Ndidi is now starting to shine ...made more tackles in a single game last night than any other Prem player this season apart from? ... N'Golo Kante...

@Hoddle Is A God, time to follow suit and demonstrate that the new HIAG has got integrity. You still have an outstanding bet to honour.

In the last few days a lot of players and managers spoke about Claudio Ranieri and his sacking by Leicester.

After Antonio Conte and David Luiz, another Chelsea player now praises the former Foxes’ manager: “Big thanks with emotion to M. Ranieri for all he has achieved: for the club, for the fans and for me. N’Golo #Ranieri” – N’Golo Kante wrote on his Twitter account.

The Blues’ midfielder played for Leicester and Ranieri last season and won the first Premier League in the club’s history before signing with Chelsea in the summer tranfer window.

I suspect the multi million pound pay off cushioned the blow.

Yeh think you've missed the point fella. If you had finished 16th last season and survived you would've had similar results last season as this one and he would've been given the benefit of doubt to keep you safe again based on the club's expectations <ok>

    I've not missed the point.

We've just gone two months (nearly a quarter of the season) without a league goal. No manager in England would survive that, regardless of past glories.

See my above point mate, I really think he got longer if anything. AKCJ is right, he'd have gone anyway, most likely sooner if not for last season. We've been ****e all season not just a short run of games. It's been 36 if you count the cup games which we were also crap in but managed to get a few wins

There's no room for sentiment in today's cutthroat PL. it's all about results and money; and getting relegated ain't cheap.

As far as Ranieri goes, it came down to the point where something had to be done. Leicester were in free fall and he seemed incapable of stopping it.

Now, whether that's down to the players and their attitude, or Ranieri and his tactics and team selection, we're never really going to know. There's been all kinds of rumours and speculation in the press, but only those at the club know the facts.

As it's pretty much impossible to make major changes to your playing staff mid-season, anyway, there was only one other alternative. So, the owners did the only thing they could do in the circumstances, dump the manager and hope that fixed the problem.

I won't pressure him into demonstrating that he's now got the integrity to honour the bet. I'll leave that for him to think about <ok>
