I say we make all our injured people play.

Danny Ings up front in a wheel chair. I'd like to see someone slide tackle a wheel chair.

Jordan Henderson out of Leicester City game

Jordan Henderson’s injury is not as bad as first feared, but the Liverpool captain will still miss the Premier League clash with Leicester on Monday night.
The England international has not travelled to the King Power stadium with the rest of the squad as a result of a badly bruised foot.

Henderson picked up the injury in training last week and the Reds had hoped it would settle down in time for the game against the champions after initial concerns that the 26-year-old had broken his foot were allayed.

The bruising is thought to be severe enough for Jurgen Klopp’s staff to believe he could miss Saturday’s game with Arsenal as well – a clash crucial to their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League next season.

Liverpool have dropped to fifth in the Premier League after a torrid start to 2017, which has only seen them win twice – an FA Cup third-round replay against Plymouth and the 2-0 win over Tottenham last time out.

There are only five points separating second and sixth, so Henderson’s fitness worries will be a huge concern for Liverpool.

The Reds are already without Dejan Lovren and there are also concerns over Daniel Sturridge after his virus.

Am I the only one that finds it bizarre that sakho is turning out for palace, but Lucas will probably be at CB for us? Don't get me wrong, I was a s furious as anyone that the dickhead got into the doping nonsense (albeit he was innocent) and I suspect he's done or said or said something to alienate Klopp. All the more reason then to buy a replacement, if not in the summer then in January. And don't say that is Klavan, because with Matip and Lovren that makes three, and every top team needs four CB's. Not 3 CB's and Lucas to fill in. Yes, I know, Gomez on his way back, but he is a kid and is a long way off yet.

If we were/are serious about freezing Sakho out it seem daft to have no replacement plan, but then again we've practically written our season off this January due to lack of foresight in the transfer windows. Klopp has had three of them so far - are we not allowed to ask questions yet?

    yes and no.

he should have gone in the summer and been replaced with better than klavan.

I agree that realistically I don't believe there's no player out there that could not have been bought this January and i really believe its been a very deliberate decision not to buy at this time.

I also agree, decisions should be questioned freely and record too.

For me I don't rate that first january. summer was only barely acceptable with mane making it decent but January was always going to be nobody coming with all the signals given. I think you and i would agree that buying in a number of positions in January would have been wise and I for one don't think it was impossible to get a single player in all of those positions.

frankly i was amazed that there were nil signings in Jan as our squad is patently wafer thin even if Sturridge can be arsed to get out of bed.

yes and not even for the next month or 4 months but for the next season. Surely when an opportunity presents to do work and you don't you are either saying you don't want to (risk of not getting top 4) OR there's nobody you want.

    yep
the first half of the season had shown none of the backup / squad players are going to push towards a regular first 11 starting place .In fact they are not to be trusted to allow for squad rotation as shown by the shoehorning of trusted players into unnatural positions in the team .

yup. yet then coutinho gets 180k per week and lallana 110k wages so that suggests it cannot simply be that if we fail to get europe we can't afford another players wages. Ergo.. either nobody across europe is willing to sell a player or we have a list of players we want and only them OR we didn't try.

It was very clear in December we were straining and scraping results.... so.... hmmmmm..... its done now so in this bed we must lay. It will be a very long run in looking at 6th but it is what it is.
