I'd agree with the first two points, but England were crap in the summer because of the manager.
Putting Kane on corner duty merely emphasised that.

    Yep. Good player.

They have decent players for their muscular powerful hard-running gegenpress. It does not work in Europe.

But they need some finesse - and possibly a new manager - to move on to the next level.

I would take him at Arsenal as he is a better striker than Giroud - although Giroud is better looking and doesn't breathe through his mouth

You stick to picking players that you fancy. We'll just pick good ones, instead. <ok>

    When did I say that?
I specifically indicated otherwise when I agreed with El Disappearo's post about him not scoring enough in Europe or for England.

    This is my point.

There's no way a side like Madrid, Bayern or Barca would be after him.

'He isn't when you stick your head in the sand and pretend he's not' were your words.

In reference to you saying that he wasn't a good striker, which was further indicated when I disagreed on his traits.
You said that he can't dribble, can't make space for himself and can't pick out a pass, all of which is clearly nonsense.

No he clearly isn't terrible <doh>

Scored 3 times the goals in one game than your whole team this calendar year....you go away and collect your Panini stickers, football isn't you're forte <ok>

I'll have to spell this out because you're not getting the hyperbole. He's clearly not a **** striker. But he's a middling/upper Premier League quality at the lesser facets of being a forward.... but he's a million miles off the likes of Suarez, Sanchez and Lewandowski (genuinely world class strikers).

Kane isn't particularly brilliant in the air, dribbling, making a pass or making space for himself with a little trick... but he's excellent at losing his marker and positioning and utterly, utterly phenomenal (Messi/Ronaldo level) at finishing.

He's got a long way to go till he's world class. I obviously want him to be a first class player because he's an England international but I've never seen a player look so technically average (again, I'm talking in terms of the top strikers here) yet score so many goals. He's an enigma.

So basically he has the dribbling skills and speed of Andy Carroll but can't head like him, but scores more goals and doesn't get injured like AC

Kane reminds me of Inzaghi, they depend on the team to supply them with chances. That's not a problem but it doesn't make Kane a great player, Inzaghi has the trophies to back it up and maybe Kane will soon in his career.

The problem is, he's not a talisman who can create something out of nothing, that's why I don't highly rate him. He is technically a bang average but he can finish when given the chance.

The fact he's scoring 20+ goals a season in a team as inconsistent as Spurs is impressive but when you look at the stats in depth, he doesn't do often enough when it really counts.

Maybe in a few years and/if he moves to a bigger team, he will flourish.

Just to highlight Kane's goalscoring ability, Mandzukic has never hit 20 league goals in a season.
