1-3 to Saints with two late goals Start with Guly and bring in De R after an hour as an impact on the game
nervy 1-0 win i reckon Davis Richardson Fonte Martin Harding De Ridder Hammond Cork Lallana Lambert Connolly subs: Bart, Jaidi, Schneiderlin, Chaplow, Barnard
Not going to try to predict a score, but I'm expecting a win. The momentum is so great, I honestly think the team will be disappointed if they don't win, too.
Have you actually been to Oakwell? I ask because you are sadly missguided, Oakwell has a capacity of 23,000 and it is a loud, intimidating crowd. Last season, Barnsley were generally very well organised at home aswell and it's no secret that it's a tough place for anyone to get 3 points. If you still don't believe me then read NA's comments on the OS from last night: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2417396,00.html
I'm not doubting what you say about Oakwell, but don't cite Adkins as a source. He never underestimates any team and won't let Saints do it either. I'm hopeful we'll get three points, but we'll come unstuck against some teams so we can presume nothing. Wonder if Fox will play..too soon to be anywhere but the bench I would think, though depends what Adkins sees in training.
On Os, says last time we played at Oakwell the winner was scored by McGoldrick from a LEE HOLMES cross...omen?
No, was just thinking of the Holmes cross...shall we start a rumour? After all, most are made up anyway.
I just posted this as the thread was in danger of falling off the front page. Is nobody interested in the match tomorrow? Any Barnsley fans alive out there? I am even more convinced Saints are going to win now, 1-2 or 1-3, although our forst clean sheet of the season would be nice.
For whatever reason, threads can't have a sticky on them when they're set-up to be cross-board threads.
Considering Barnsley fans have not been involved so far (and it doesnt look like they use the site anyway), couldnt you just un...cross-board the thread and then sticky it? Just a thought
