Was Jack in danger of a red with his challenge on Martial?

No but unfortunately he didn't go higher and end his career.

No. Was barely a yellow especially after Lingard avoided a second yellow DESPITE blatantly trying to trip up Redmond.

Sorry I'm just so angry at players like Zlatan and Pogba who are meant to be these world class footballers but go down at any slight tough. The rolling around of zlatan because someone had the audacity to dent his laughably huge ego was an embarrassment.

Heard the game on the radio over here and according to the match commentators, Saints carried the game to their opponents. It looks as if Saints fans have a team that is very good, but there is no accountiing, nothing that you can do with a genius like Zlatan, because United without him would have lost.

I'll be honest, the Marcus flag going round before the start of the game, and all the fans rising and cheering brought tears to me eyes.

As for the game, I do wonder whether that disallowed goal would have changed the outcome. We were the better team but, as usual this season, had no luck. Maya was my Saints MotM and I'm really liking Cedric these days. I was up in the gods so will have missed a lot of the "detail" but what I didn't miss was the noise - singing, chanting, clapping, it was such, such fun :smiley-finger007:

I really hope that Puel and the team can build on this - onwards and upwards!

Also how Zlatan got man of the match. Yeah he scored two goals but other than that he was in the pocket of Yoshida. Man united had no stand out player. Really they didn't. Every saints player earned a place in my heart. But I guess Unjted had to win, can't have saints winning anything nooooo.

I fear for when clattemburg goes. The officiating in this league is a joke.

Yeah, I said to the guy next to me that Zlatan went to ground if a Saints player breathed on him. I really, really wish that refs had the guts to book players who rolled around in agony one minute but then jumped to their feet as soon as they got a free kick. That's cheating in my book and when Saints players do it they should get penalised too.

    Well!!!
Just left the stadium, still shaking my head.
I really don't know how we haven't won. I guess I have 24 hours on the plane back to think about it. From 2-0 down as well.
So proud of the team and supporters.
Once a saint, always a saint, no matter where you live in the world.
So glad I came back for it. Just a shame in the end.
Thanks to all of the great saints supporters I met today.

In fairness Dusan was going down if someone coughed near him too. You can't just blame the other team when we aren't entirely innocent.

Really want to drive this point home.

For a team that is arguably the largest in the world, the support for United today was an embarrassment. I genuinely thought that most of the game would be a real singing battle and that Wembley would be bouncing. Only one side was bouncing. United fans were a disgrace to their club in terms of support. So silent. Even at 2-0 up they weren't the ones raising the roof.

Just a few positives though from today, and there are many many to choose from:

    I met Wayne Shaw (piegate)
Gabbiadini is the player we have been crying out for.
I think the end of the season run in could be good fun with this side.

Most of all - so so proud of every single one of you lot out there in the stadium. We sang loud and we sang proud. The bedlam when Gabby equalised I will never forget. I'm proud to be a Saint. So so proud.

Just got in to hotel in Enfield. Agree with everything above, especially the bit about the fans. I only got to the match through the thoughtfulness of another Saints fan. Saintly-DCM came through with his offer of a ticket. Met him and his partner at the Bobby Moore statue as arranged. Thanks to them and the Saints players for a great afternoon. Manure would be a totally different team without Zlatan. Thought he was their best forward and defender. Virgil would have been in total control, but I thought Maya and Jack did a great job. Not sure if Oriol or Manallo was MOTM.

Just got back. What a good game, had a goal disallowed that was good & at 2-2 we hit the bar, but Ibrahimovic was the difference & we just ran out of energy in the last 15 mins! Courageous performance & good atmosphere!

Shame we lost but not feeling down, lots of pride & will never forget the uproar when we equalised!

I know it's probably been said by lots of other people on here, but I'm just so proud to be a saints fan. We were exceptional, the fans were exceptional and I just bloody love this football club. I hope you all get home safe and sound and I'll see you same place next year to lift the bloody thing!!
