Rolling, rolling, rolling. The Press Association is reporting that Newcastle have rejected a £30m bid from Liverpool for Andy Carroll.

Nice try bin dippers. Come back with £50m plus Torres and Gerrard then we'll talk.

To be fair; unless Torres grows his hair I don't want him!

Don't want Gerrard, he's been **** for two seasons. I'd rather have Carroll than Torres as well. Andy always gives 100%, he's younger, on less wages, committed to the club and (probably) less injury prone. He's irreplaceable.

What part of He's not for sale don't teams understand.. like 300 interviews with Pardew saying his not for sale no matter how much money the bidding team put in, this is getting really boring and annoying now.. <doh>

    I have a cunning plan

    take
    1 hair extension
1 pair of platform shoes (1" soles)
1 Nufc shirt with number 9 on the back
    1 Andy Carroll face mask

give all to Shola and tell him he needs to deliver this to Liverpool

    should work <badger>

Pardew press conference put back for some reason, hope this isn't related to the Carroll story.

You honestly think Carrol is worth 30m?

I admit he is a good player, and have a lot of potential, but is he really worth the same than Man U paid for Berbatov?

For 30m you lot should be running (and laughing) to the bank.

If his goals secure safety this season he's worth more than £30 million to NUFC.

He is worth more than 30m. This is Carroll's first proper season in the premier league and he has scored 11 goals in a season where he has spent a lot of time on the sidelines. He's also just 22. And why would we sell him now with barely 10 hours to get a suitable replacement?

    Think before you post

Carroll is worth whatever another club is willing to pay.

For me the guy is priceless.

I don't think other clubs understand what a number 9 NUFC shirt means to a Geordie

I don't think Carroll wants to go and at this moment in time, Liverpool are just not a step up

I can see Carroll being the player we build our team around, and no this doesn't mean hoff ball because he has much more to his game than that as Liverpool found out at SJP

eh? surely the fact that it is his 1st proper season in the Prem is not a good thing (for his £ worth)? If he continues to do as well next season, then great but there are lots of players who had a great 1st season then didnt do anything - flash in the pan and all that.

The fact that there is only 10 hours left in the window doesnt change his worth.

I still think it was strange for The Hoff to set up his own team Hoffsownstein or Hoffenheim as they pronounce it in the Prussia.
