Beaten my Ibra, not Man united. We were the better team and should of won, proud of the lads though, but sometimes it's not your day and it wasn't ours today.

 

I agree, Yoshida did fantastic. Looked miles better than Fonte when compared to his weekly performances. All credit to Jack Stephens, but we really needed VVD for this one.

 

There's only one comment I can make. Let's make getting to Wembley a regular habit and we'll see a trophy come to St Mary's. We won't have Europa League football next season so we can concentrate on domestic matters. I suppose for United a Wembley appearance is just regular feature so nothing really special for them.

 

It means the EL trophy place comes down to 6th unless there is a phenomenal upset in the FA Cup.

I can't even express how gutted I am. We deserved that. I won't say United played poorly, because that would totally discredit the fact that the whole team played really bloody well, Puel included. But I feel that was our only chance to put a bit of shine into what has been a bit of a mediocre season. Europe next season looks nearly impossible but hopefully that performance carries over to the league to claw back a few league places and keep anti-Puel brigade at bay.

Unlucky for the Saints, the best team lost...thought you played brilliantly, both their goals were against the run of play but 250k a week buys you Zlatan and he is World class.

Really looking forward to the rest of the season now we have Gabby to provide the goals (well until the press sell him of course). The team have to get over this disappointment and attack the rest of the season. Disappointed in the result, but not the team.
