FFS haven't you got enough to do running this board without sticking your nose into Leicester's problems.

I wonder if Sevilla fans will enjoy Leicester as much? Is there a Leicester Dungeons for them to enjoy?

What price for Pearson to come back? Knows a thing or two about rescuing hopeless causes.

  4. Is this the worst sacking in Prem history, as all the hacks are claiming?

Is this any worse than Chelsea sacking Di Matteo?

    Or Chelsea's sacking of Ancelotti?

Or Chelsea's sacking of Avram Grant?

It used to be a joke among us fans that winning was never good enough for Chelsea's Russian owner!

It's worse because everyone knows that Abramovich has the patience of a Sky era plastic Manc, and Chelsea are a big club.

Leicester are a side that should be relegation fodder and somehow he took them to the league title only 9 months ago, yet they've sacked him because a few of the over paid and under performing beauts in that side have used him to cover their complacency and lack of commitment. It's a disgusting reflection on where the game currently is at the highest level.

He'd have kept them up imo and if they really felt they needed a change in the summer, then they could have given him the chance to leave with dignity and said he'd decided to stand down.

If they start turning up now and keep Leicester up, does that mean the club was right or does that mean the players got the most successful man in their history sacked? That would **** me right off as a fan. If they go down, well that just proves they were crap regardless in which case once again exposes the players. Either way the players deserve a lot of stick for this.

  9. One does wonder, Tobes, if the board at LCFC believe that whoever comes in should be challenging for Top 4.

If that is the case, how many managers will they get though before the penny drops last season was a one-off?

Nobody at Leicester expects to challenge for the top 4. They even said in their statement that avoiding relegation was the target. What we do expect is for the players to put effort in and not get turned over 3-0 every week. I don't personally think that is too much to ask

Or simply put - you can't sack a whole team but you can sack one manager

i am so glad Vardy thought he was too good for Arsenal and stayed put and turned to turds

It all begs the question, what turned the players against him? None of us knows the answer to that.

He probably told them to work harder. Footballers hate that.

  16. Exactly, Bluey!

I cannot imagine that kind and gentle Claudio turned into a complete and utter bastard megalomaniac over night, after winning the league!

However, I am more than prepared to believe that that is exactly what happened to some of the players.

My betting is that Claudio tried to put his foot down, when he cottoned on that some of the players were taking the piss, and they effectively told him to do one.

If that is correct, then the new manager coming in is going to have a massive task on his hands. Do the players think the new guy is going to go any easier on them?

The alternative scenario is that Claudio was too soft on the players, and couldn't bring himself to kick the necessary arse.

The alternative scenario is what I suspect but, as I say, none of us knows.

What this thread needs now is a poll asking the question "Do you give a **** if leicester get relegated now they've sacked Claudio?" <whistle>

This is no wum and nothing personal against LCFC fans, but there's a part of me that hopes they fcking do. And I'll repeat my reason - I dont mind so much they decided on sacking Ranieri, it was the manner of the sacking which was proper ****ish.

Genuinely interested here as most people seem to be adamant that he shouldn't have been sacked or like me, upset it has come to it but understanding it was necessary.
When you say you don't mind the decision but how they did it what do you want? Timing?

This was my post yesterday mate. And please read it with an open mind... this is not an anti-LCFC thing.

I just felt a manager who achieved what he did - not at Chelsea or City or Real Madrid, but at a modest club that may not experience such success again in our lifetime, deserved ppl at the club to honour their word. I see them as money motivated cowards tbph.
