According to http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/93714 Jacques Villeneuve says Kimi Raikkonen does not deserve his Formula 1 title......

With this utter bullshit JV now beats Briatore as most annoying person related to F1 in my eyes :emoticon-0102-bigsm

JV has already said things about Lewis that pissed me off and now I think he is losing his marbles.

That is just wrong on so many level from JV:
    1) Unless there is cheating involved you pretty much deserve where you finish at the end of a season.
    2) If Kimi was 'lucky' in 2007 he was 'unlucky' in 2003 and 2005.
    3) "Felipe deserved it a lot more. He was always more capable than Kimi and it was easy to beat him." - This is just plain wrong.
    4) Massa is crap now.

Oh **** off JV, you were lucky that Schumi was having troubles to hand you the 1997 title. Before that problem he was creaming you.

JV hates everybody, you just have to look at the belittling **** he spews on F1 racing, "2011 season one of the most boring, can't be bothered to watch" arrogant Canadian ****er...

Yeah your right about Kimi being unlucky in 2003 and 2005, that's why I definitely believe he deserved his 2007 championship.

A bit harsh there EL_Bando, "whats it like watching F1 from the worst seats in the stand JV?" but I got to admit it did make me laugh!

I will always be suspicious of that title because of what Bernie said prior to the race and what happened to both McLarens, especially Hamiltons, no doubt if McLaren had won then F1 would probably still be in the courts now, with no races in between, with Ferrari the plaintiff, I don't think anyone wanted that to happen so it was fixed that the McLarens wouldn't score points and it was left in Kimi's hands to win. TBH he never really impressed me, but that said if you win it you win it, whether you deserve it or not doesn't really matter.

There may be some spatterings of truth amongst the crap Villeneuve comes out with, but whatever might be there tends to be buried by the rest of what he says. The trouble is that he's always been a loud-mouth who over-estimated himself and finds it difficult to admire the success of some other people.

As a driver, he was nowhere near Mansell; but the two of them do share this trait of finding it difficult to acknowledge success in others.

Regardless of what he's got to say, he comes over as being a rather bitter 'loser'; something which seems to be getting worse as he gets older…

Deserves has nothing to do with it you get what you get in this life anyone good enough to be in the hunt for the title deserves to win it, I could say that Hamilton didn't deserve his title in 08 and Massa deserved it more but I don't because it is not true, I've heard people say that Jenson didn't deserve his title but that is bollocks as well.

At the end of the day it's all just sour grapes on JV's part

Thats not the point. JV just bashes without showing any sign of useful brain activity. He also seems not to be aware about his own weaknesses and the luck HE had.

He lucked into possibly the best 2 cars of the 90's, in 96 and 97, ans still almost managed to lose the title. Never really rated him, watching him look foolish against a still maturing massa in 05 was fun.

Not sure was Villenuve is on about, Massa didnt deserve the 2007 title, he wasnt even in the Championship fight. It was between Hamilton, Alonso and Kimi. Hamilton deserved it but that mysterious gearbox problem put an end to that. So sure Kimi was lucky in that regard but he was unlucky in 2003 and luck always finds a way to even itself out. So they say.

Alonso deserved it for putting up with McLaren's crap for the second half of the season.

I hear you Matt and think you make a good point. However, I've quoted the above line because I believe 'luck' is just that: in my opinion it is random, unemotional and not in the least even handed - particularly when one looks at shorter and shorter time scales - unfortunately.

I wish I thought differently but countless human tragedies have been the result of this randomness, and the victims have no redress; no 'chance' to 'balance the books' The awareness of luck appears to be
a singularly human concept, and as such, is part of the tragedy of being human.
