Wrong! Squad's bigger than it was last season, just need a left back.

Better strength in depth this season in most areas, and the second part was true last season also.

despite bringing in the more players than have left. Hmmm let me think. surely that means that we're better in that department than last year.

I am not here to take the piss, I just don't agree.

Carroll is your big loss, he ****ing terrorized us last year and I am sorry but your French lads are just not proven in England. It took Dennis Bergkamp 18 months to bed in man. What happens if Taylor or Colo gets injured, Williamson is not PL class.

jesus we hear that one all the time. And i really dont care for "what if senarios". What if your 2 first choice CBs are injured, what if your best strikers get injured it could happen to anyone for gods sake

On FM, Enrique would still be at the club as I would have qualified for the Europa League at least.

That's a little unfair, Sessengon was on fire in the last few games of last season and has continued this form into pre-season. Sessengon looks like he's found his feet in England after a slow start. He's going to be a major part of Sunderland's squad in the coming season! Then you look at Ben Arfa, who started well then got attacked by NdJ, look sharp again in pre-season but got the inevitable niggling injury, which will probably be a repeating occurance until he sees a decent amount of training. We won't get to see the best of of Ben Arfa until November, if he stays fit!

We would finish 10th as is what happened last season when out best CB pairing got injured, our best striker left and the other got injured back end of the season. I doubt you would.

The original poster was saying you had a better squad, i disagree and the facts are your going to get injuries. Every team will as you correctly point out, The OP chose to base his assesment against Sunderland and you spit the dummy when that is challenged, anyway, enjoy your trip to Scunthorpe

We sold our best striker, had our manager sacked, on of our 2 best CBs played less than 10 games all season (Taylor), and the one striker who looked good then also got injured (Best) and threw away 9th. I think we can relate.

Wow I swear everyone on here is optimistic to the point of delusion or pessimistic to the point of suicide.

    Is there no middle ground?!
