We used to have four clubs in top 10. Now we only have one, Chelsea. The league leaders boycotted Europe this season, sick of carrying England in Europe. http://www.uefa.com/memberassociations/uefarankings/club/index.html With the London clubs bottling Europe, we need Mancs to shine to get co-efficients up.
Yep we are very strong 11-20. Only Chelsea in top 10 though, we'll drop out. City could be top 10 next season
Spurs aren't out of the europa league yet. And Leicester still have a squeak in the CL. You wouldn't put money on them getting past Devilla though. City won't get much further with that defence. Don't know what Utd's odds are in the europa, but they must be one of the favourites.
I couldn't give a rats ass if we end up losing a CL place. One of the big clubs missing out on that extra massive chunk of revenue every season could help make the PL even more competitive.
Top 4 countries get 4 places now. Doesn't matter if we fall below Italy. No one giving the Gooners a chance? Anyway, this poor sod has the right hump today
Do the new rules not apply from 2018 only? For 2017/18, I thought league winners get seeded for groups then pots 2, 3, 4 are based on club co-efficients??? I could be wrong
You are right, it is a year away, but I doubt we'll (England) drop out the top 3 this year unless Juventus win the competition.
No concerns about losing 4th spot Seeing for CL groups more the issue unless you win league. Look at the groups City have got over the years, though their rating will improve again this year.
Liverpool should be in the Champions League next year, so finally an English team will have a good chance to win again.
To be fair, they lost to a very good Milan side in 2007. I wonder who Milan smashed 3-0 in the semi?? We are closer to the anniversary of that game than the final
We're closer to that side smashing Roma 7-1 in the QF. A game I was at btw. And certainly closer to the same side beating another "also ran" in a final in Moscow.
In all honesty, we didn't deserve to win the final in '05 we were outplayed. Thought we played better than Milan in '07 though and lost. Karma Also Karma, Harry Kewell diving instead of challenging the guy who tackled him leading to one of their goals.
Ah, so you thought it was the 10th anniversary of the Moscow final. Oh dear That was 2008 not 2007. I was at the game so I remember!
