Do you think that being at white hart lane not the Den will make any difference? I haven't been away to Millwall, only at the KP and they arent able to be very threatening. I guess being in London there may be loads outside who won't be going to the match

Same ends then fella. I grew up in Lee Green, my uncle was the boss at Dees of Lewisham on Lee high rd. Mum is from Ladywell, Dad is from Charlton, while family hail from that area.

I used to spend a lot of time in Greenwich park as a kid feeding the deer and the squirrels and flying my kite on Blackheath common.

I stayed out of gangs when I was growing up as I was into my swimming (used to swim for the borough) and then I got into acid house and the indie kid scene. Used to go to the venue in new cross and the Fordham park festival etc. So most of my time was spent on acid or stoned at parties.

But living in that area you can't escape the nastier side of it. I've had knives held to my throat, been chased by thugs, dodged some scraps, ended up in the wrong postcodes by mistake etc.

I used to score some amazing skunk down on the ferrier estate in kidbrooke, that place was a proper battlefield. My mate used to have an old police riot van with bullet proof windows, so we'd go down there in that. I'd wait in the van whilst he went to score. Widows shut, doors locked praying he wouldn't take long ...

I grew up on burnt ash rd. I know thamesmead well, it's a ****ing ****hole. I used to go to woolwich market as a kid and then later to catch the ferry over to north woolwich to get a bus to Newham when I was doing my art foundation.

My mother-in-law still lives in plumstead. Gilborne rd in the flats at the top of the common, so I go back there now and again.

You should be a charlton fan if they are your ends <whistle>

My childhood in a quiet Leicestershire village sounds very boring in comparison!

Growing up was difficult...was fashionable to go " paki bashing " in the late 70s and early 80s and Thamesmead was gang riddled and racist as **** back then.
Got plenty of kickings from groups while I was trying to avoid going home to my mums child beating **** of a husband.
I think this was a perfect preparation for the pain of life as a spurs fan <laugh>
Did loads I could have got in serious **** for but never got caught and was lucky enough to be steered away from the dark side by a couple of really kind youth workers.
Was very lucky to get away from it all before it was too late.
All that eventually led to the fantastic mrs rcl and my brilliant girls.
Think that's one of the reason I work with mini pyschos.
Crap money but funny stories and a great home life...would be great if you mo fos would ****ing finish behind us <laugh>

I live in the far west of Cornwall now ( although I'm currently closer to Moscow than Cornwall as I type)

It's a million miles away from the environment I grew up in, but I still find that I switch to my city head (ultra-vigilance) when I go back there, or any city really.

Yep that whole area had a really nasty racist element. The BNP used to have their HQ in Welling and I remember loads of the pubs from there to plumstead were full of nazi ****s. I nearly got knifed outside a pub called the Fanny on the Hill ( I kid you not) for wearing an anti racist alliance t-shirt

Done the opposite to me then, I'm now living just outside Sheffield although still a village. I think I'd have hated to grow up in London, I lived in MK for a few years and regularly went into London and never warmed to it

Brought up in Eastern Canada in Nova Scotia . Was bused into a Black Community outside of Halifax to go to high school where decendents of the underground railway were brought in from the Southern states . Blacks made up 90 % of the students , us Navy Brats made up 10% . Stabbings and fights weren't that rare . Made a lotta friends but was glad to get out .

Cheeky **** <grr> My gran and grandad lived in plumstead on hector st, and I used to be mates with a lad who lived a few doors down the rd. in his back garden was some of the original terracing from the invicta ground. I thought that was magical, to have an actual football ground in your back garden. That was where my love affair with Arsenal started.

When you c u next Tuesdays from N17 try and taunt us with the 'woolwich' tag, it simply reminds me of our and my roots and the reason I staters supporting Arsenal. So I take it as a compliment. :)

Yeah I got sucked in unfortunately, but luckily came out fine and all is well.

I've spent loads of time on the Ferrier estate in kidbrooke, usually just going in to purchase/drop and getting the **** out asap. But overall a fair stint <whistle>

Craziest place in London (fact). The police didn't even used to dare go in there, not sure what it's like these days, but probably even worse! ****ing absolutely insane estate for a civilized Western society.

Fun Fact: They filmed parts of the film 'Nil By Mouth' in the Ferrier.

Was heavily involved in the campaign to get the BNP ****ers kicked out and am very proud we did.
Used to regularly get abusive calls from the ****ers and got a letter with razorblades threatening to burn us out...with burn spelt "bern"...****ing master race <laugh>
