Shame it's not at The New Den mate. Not much chance of an upset at WHL I don't reckon.

Although yeah, fair chance of a few windows getting smashed down Tottenham High Rd <ok>

Is it true (what I have just read somewhere else) that if a team that is not in the Championship or Premier League wins the FA cup they don't get the European place?

The football gods are desperately trying to keep Arsene in his job.

Don't know I'm afraid, but someone on Saintsweb reckons that if we win the League Cup and a team in the top 5 win the FA Cup we would go into the EL at league level (as we did this season).

I was just curious if it was true. Not that it could happen ;)
Mind you Lincoln haven't beaten Arsenal for 102 years..............because we haven't played them since we beat them in the league 102 years ago.....

...Maybe another 100 year+ record to be broken.

Yes, I love those little bits of fact trivia that pop out on shows like MOTD. I can just imagine them saying that Lincoln haven't beaten Arsenal for 102 years. Completely obscuring the fact that Arsenal haven't beaten Lincoln for exactly the same amount of time. Now that's fake news.!

I think there was a Saints match where a team hadn't beaten us for 50 odd years, and they'd only played us twice during that time. Kind of takes the wowee out of the factoid.

Now you're at the fake news. lol

Arsenal haven't beaten Lincoln for 104 years! We have won 2 and drawn 1 of our last 3 meetings! Well to not be fake news I should say 103 and a half. October 18th 1913 was the last time Arsenal beat Lincoln City (3-0)

Since then Lincoln beat them 5-2, drew 1-1 and then beat them 1-0. The latter being the last meeting between the 2 teams 102 years ago.

I want a BBC pundit to say it. Lincoln City are unbeaten in their last 3 meetings with Arsenal. It will have plastics spitting feathers.

OK, fair enough. It was a hypothetical example, based on your sentence and turning it around. Two extra years.! My fake news wasn't deliberate and it certainly was meant to be taken as a loose example, not literally. The essential point was.. if teams don't play each other for 102 years, they can hardly beat each other.

Sutton United doing maintenance to their pitch for tonight's match: Unfortunately, nobody's told R5 Live's Tony Livesey [yes, the former editor of the Daily/Sunday Sport rags] that an artificial pitch requires maintenance of its own, like sanding, brushing and hoovering. <doh>

If I'm not mistaken (anything can happen in an infinite universe) Tony Livesey is a Burnley fan, so he is probably unable to see clearly through the tears he is probably still shedding after Lincoln's victory

Sutton is a lovely story, but lets not kid ourselves, Arsenal have a fantastic back up team.....as we saw a month ago, and I fully expect them to be professional enough tonight, not give the beleaguered Arsene another sleepless uncomfortable week. I'm not fan of he, but I'm not liking this media witch hunt, he is being treated very poorly. I kinda hope he goes on to win the FA cup, keep his job, ship out Ozil, rip their fans off......and then have us talking about the same things next February!

I am too expecting a comfortable Arsenal win. If Sutton get the first goal though, that plastic pitch could play a part.

Really looking forward to this game though.

Strong Arsenal side playing. Walcott and Xhaka included. Sanchez, Ox and others on the bench.

I'd put Ozil in as punishment for that lack of display in Germany. The little coward. If you can't be arsed with the big stage....here's a plastic pitch for you.

Think I'd be quite happy to see Walcott if I was a division 5 centre back.
