My first 'real job' I worked with an old 'head' who after 3 or 4 pints would come back to the office and do their entire act. Still, he lent me his MC5 albums and made half the day bearable. He hated young people having short hair and no facial hair. He "fought' for our right to wear our hair down to our knees" as he put it. Still, when he heard Viv Stanshall with The Damned he relented somewhat....
I actually paused over was/is for ages . It's unbecoming for a 52 year old to worship a pop singer though.
The friend that I go to The Gills with, has refused to listen Oasis since the 1999 league 1 play off final that Gillingham lost on penalties to City - so these are for him (he may see them he used to post here quite alot!).
The trailer for The Damned movie 'Don't You Wish That We Were Dead' with Neat Neat Neat burning in the background. Available now in no shops at all. ****ing great documentary of the realest of real punk bands.
I lot of wasted potential is my assessment of Oasis. Had they ditched the 8 minute long late '60s Beatles revivalist nonsense for two minute up tempo Who/Jam (or even Slade) inspired stuff, I could have liked them a lot more
