15:15 Haydock - Cresswell Breeze e/w (Like this one for a sporting e/w at the generally-available odds of 14/1. Nice low weight, loads of stamina in breeding).
Hi Swanny, Out of the dreaded North Sea now and working on a fisheries research vessel in the Irish sea. We go and hide if the weather gets rough and I've got the added bonus of having a steward with me!! Talk about semi retirement! Only spent about 6 weeks at sea last year. The rest at home or tied up in Belfast with a skeleton crew!!! Can't say I miss playing "dodge the pan" or "See how long you can stay in your bunk"!!! Good luck fella!!!
Can't believe it is already 5 years ago that Invictus beat Bobs Worth and Silviniaco Conti in the Reynoldstown - what a renewal that was
WAs going to put up Theo's Charm, but as the first two bets of the day have both hit the deck ( Admiral Barrantry and Pussy Butty.....sorry...Cat Sarnie....sorry Castarnie!) I'll give it a miss!!! Quite liked Gas Line Boy at a nice price at Haydock too!!
Theo's Charm caught my eye too Mick - I think he will relish going back over hurdles BUT I think he would probably like it a bit juicier.
I'm with Arpege in the telly opener ... was on Bigbadjohn last time and he was running a bad un even before he slipped.
Really didn't like Sean Bowen's ride in the first. Must have travelled 50 yards more than everything else in that race and lost a neck. I'd be quite keen on a reversal of that form if they were to meet again.
Fantastic Zarkandar Been a fan since before his Triumph win but didn't have a penny on today. Hadn't won since 2014 so long overdue and derserved
Oddy, my thought exactly. Love the horse, but don't think he took to fences too well. He may well enjoy himself, but like yourself, would have preffered a bit more rain. Lets hope it's a Haydock g/s, which is usually nearing heavy!! Haydock was built on a bog which will help. I'm doing well today...just backed Daveron...that's 3 fallers from 4 bets!!
