Aux Ptits Soin should be favourite for me back over hurdles. He's getting weight from Agrapart and I couldn't have Zarkander.

I like General Principle in the beginner s chase at Gowran. Mall Dini wont blow his mark for the Kim Muir and Bachasson hasn't jumped wellin his two chases. I think Jett doesn't want soft ground. The only concern is it is Coopers first ride back, that could be a positive or a negative.

Interestingly Yanworth wears a set of cheekpieces for the first time. He should be winning this if he has any chance in the CH.

Also looking forward to see Dandy Mag at Gowran. She's a half sister to Vroom Vroom Mag.

Whatever comedian designed the 2017 Newmarket Racecourse website should be taken out and shot.

It is almost impossible to navigate to the tickets that you want, login your account and select tickets. I have just wasted half an hour trying to book two-day tickets for the Guineas meeting as their booking system consistently comes up with the message “Sorry- that didn't work as hoped. Please go back and try again.” and tells me to call them!

If these idiots do not want anyone to come, they should stop sending out emails telling us that the offer prices expire on 24th February to try and persuade us to book early.

A friend of mine texted me a link to a Jockey Club Offers website the other day and when I went on it there were no offers available at all – it had the same livery as the Newmarket site but all the offer pages listed nothing.

Edit: the useless t***ers even sent me an email that begins “Dear <<Firstname New Market>>”

Lovely mares bumper to finish the card at Ascot and although her run in the Aintree bumper last term takes a lot of forgiving that was pretty hot company. So will the real STORM PATROL 7/1 please turn up tomorrow. Her debut run was a cracking effort when runner up to My Khaleesi and for me that represents a better level of form than shown by any of the now penalised runners.
If there is a fly in the ointment it could be 10/1 debutante FORTUNELLO who is a full sister to the useful Cogry and a half sister to a Warren Greatrex bumper winner called The Caller. She is well worth keeping an eye on.

Earlier on the card the booking of Dickie for WOLFCATCHER 25/1 is eyecatching.

and lots of blue for that one on Oddschecker.

Even so I am going for Krugermac off bottom weight. And at Haydock, in the National Trial I'm all over Vintage Clouds (with a sneaky saver on old fav ****anda!)

Should get an even juicier price for Cue Card winning the gold cup after today too :)

    Morning punters,
Busy day for me. Had a quick look at the opener at ascot and the Henderson jolly has to be taken on at the prices
I know he was smart on the flat and a good win after a long lay off but will he repeat that today. For me de dollar man looks unexposed and has been busy and is on the upgrade in my book
    Cheers.

Should have been going to Haydock today but things have gone against me, oh well never mind... As it happens most of my bets are away from Haydock any way...
    Haydock
    2.40 - Mydor, 6/1
    3.15 - VL Rouge, 13/2
    Ascot
    2.25 - S Sunrise, 11/2
    3.00 - Krugermac, 7/1
    4.10 - Spellbound, 12/1
    4.45 - Storm Patrol, 11/2

Some the forum's selections and a few of my own... Good luck to all who are having a play today...<cheers>

Who was that wee point to point lass on the morning show, very tidy indeed:emoticon-0115-inlov
My mate knows the lads involved with Mydor and they think he will run well in Pertemps hcapp at Haydock.Thing is he only has to qualify and Gangsta Martin has lost his golden touch in the big hcapp races this season.Still think he has a squeak so I've done an Ew double with Black Lion.

Funny old card at Haydock - two Grade 2 hurdle races over 2m 7f (OK one for novices only but still, WTF?) and the Pertemps Qualifier over exactly the same distance. The Grand National trial and Hunter Chase also over extended trips - certainly not a card for speed animals eh?

Talk about getting a novice hurdler a nice mark to go handicapping with ...................... hats of to Henry Daly with Nordic Nymph. On her first 4 starts (a bumper and 3 novice/maiden hurdles) she was beaten 20L, 26L, 45L and 53L and returned SPs of 25/1, 33/1, 100/1 and 50/1. She earned an opening handicap mark of 80 in the process, has since gone on to win 6 out of 7 handicap hurdles and runs in the Pertemps Qualifier at Haydock today off a mark of 124. Relatively easy to back today at around the 8/1 mark but who's to say the winning streak can't go on?

    Agree there, Chelsea! <ok>

............but, having said that, Cue Card should win this easily IMHO. However, will not be having my usual 9 grand to win 4.......<laugh>

The ITV 7 is back today which will chime with those of us with more experience! The kids will need to google it. They'll be bringing the Indoor League back next. Good luck all.
