I'd leave Gozo mate. There's a nice market street with some nice bars but not worth taking a whole day of your weekend out. Depends what you want to do mate but I'd recommend the boat trip to the Blue Grotto. Secondly explore Malta itself there's loads to do. Sliema will keep you busy as well.

Go to Golden Bay iirc really nice beach.

@Skylarker I hired one of those villas lol. It was the fcking bollox. Set on the hills with a view to kill. They all have ****ing fruit trees and grapes everywhere around those villas. We were just picking them off the trees.
