Great question mate. Apparently the idea was to get them used to playing there ahead of it being their home ground next season. Or in other words - cash. Them being allowed to use it full stop is completely wrong imo.
I don't agree with it Nige. It's the National stadium and should be reserved solely for England and cup finals etc imo. The idea that a lower league club could get a trip to Wembley in the 3rd round of the Fizzy Pop cup next season is devaluing the place imo. A decision made purely with money in mind and not a thought for how it might impact the perceived value of earning the right to play there.
I'd much rather be at the Lane. Wembley is ****...and there's no 'home' feeling about it whatsoever and every ****in team that turns up against us there think its a Cup final!
When Chelsea play us there, next season in the league, it will be their Cup Final. It always is, when they play us.
Only one unecessay comma ... the day has a certain burgeoning promise to it already Go Quentin! Go Quentin!
I don't know but it baffles me too as to why you had an open top bus parade when you mustered a draw against us last year at the Bridge
Yeah that didn't happen Unlike Spurs, Chelsea get to ACTUAL cup finals. Ya know, ones where you get a cup at the end. "This is their cup final" is right up there with "Dey celebwating lark dey won da leeg!" It's something you say when you do not get the result you want, and feel terrible about it, but somehow want to downgrade the validity of the opponents result.
