If the deal goes ahead this weekend and Barca pay £35m for the services of Fabregas, who would you want as a direct replacement for him? The player must be a creative midfielder who will play in the middle of midfield just like Fabregas would. Would you spend all of the money on this one player or would you use it to buy, say, a left back?

Anyway one of the players must play in Fabregas' position. Unless you think Wilshere or Ramsey are ready to step up to the plate and give you the same number of goals and assists that Fabregas brings to the side?

These signings must have a realistic chance of happening too so no Messi or Iniesta. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Kaka and Mata to replace Fabregas and Nasri if they leave...

    In an ideal world.

Seeing as we are not going to get instant world class players because of the fee and wages, i am going for a player just under the world class bracket. And that man is, Juan Mata.

According to the Telegraph and L'equipe we are after Jadson from Shakhtar. Not sure about him replacing Fabregas.

If Fabregas goes (and still not convinced he will) then the ideal replacement has got to be Kaka.

£25 Million is the figure being thrown around for him and that leaves us another £10mill or so left over from Fabregas sale to add to his wages to tempt him to the club. He's the sort of world class player that copuld actualy replace Fabregas without the team getting weaker.

I would like Eden Hazard but we've already signed Chamberlain now, so we have enough wingers.

Jadson would be a terrific buy in my opinion. He is vastly under-rated along with a lot of the players they have at Shakhtar and he wouldn't cost too much. Kaka could be a bit unrealistic considering he has stated he is happy in Madrid and determined to prove his worth there. Mata would be a great replacement for Nasri but I'm still not convinced he will leave.

"Former" that was what, 5 6 years ago?
Adebayor was scoring 30+ goals a season closer to now.....

Why not get Ronaldhino, Henry and Beckham aswell, they were all amazing a few years ago...

He does not speak about other clubs players in public, unlike Arry. Arsene has respect for other teams.

He's not that old yet. You dont go from being a World beater to being rubbish in a few years.

Its just a case of Madrid not utilising him properly.

    He's what, 30?
so he's getting on, nowhere near as good as he once was, otherwise it wouldn't matter how madrid utilised him, if he was THAT good, he'd make sure they used him!

Also, hes injury prone, last time he played 40 or more games in total in a season?
    the 06-07 season

that is going to be alot less if he's in the premership, as you constantly say, the premiership is the hardest, toughest and roughest league that allows contact etc.......
