Ozil has pretty much stopped playing. He is strolling through games, and has been pretty much a non presence in their last 3-4 games. Sanchez you can see him getting frustrated, there was a moment in the Chelsea game the other week where he made a great run and was waiting for a through ball that never came, eventually the Arsenal player on the ball got bundled off it and lost posession, Sanchez walked over our goal and started kicking the post in frustration. Can't see either of them being there next season. Pst.....Alexis.....come across London mate....
Yup, totally agree. You get plebs who are in awe of them, like they are some footballing gods. It really is down to the mentality, thats why Chelsea have managed to get results against "better" teams in the Champions League, and Arsenal fold like a deck of cards.
Gotta be dirty nasy no respect orrible ****ers to win games at times. No shame in that. Part of the game. The PL needs to man up.
We need the Original Big four back in the competition man.......Liverpool have an awesome history in the competition too and used to pull of results against big clubs too. Then Arsenal made up the four, just so the rest of us had someone to laugh at. But we aint gonna get anywhere with Arsenal, Spuds and Leicester repping the PL. City maybe.....if they sort themselves, but we need to get some winning teams back in that competition asap.
Some may not like that post Bod but you have a point Utd and Liverpool will not look at the likes of Bayern as a thing of awe we would see them as a petulant child that needs a spanking and putting back in its place. Delusional yes, damn right it is and long may that continue.
Spurs I feel could get to grips with things, with some more experience. They look to have the minerals, but their manager is young, and they need a little more flair and pace in their team. But I think they could do something in the CL one day, given time.
I don't get how every players 'dream' is to play for Real or Barca, especially British players. When you was a little lamb who was you in the playground? That's why I love Robbie Keane, despite having 8 and counting 'childhood fave club(s)' Barca or Real are not on the list.
This.....piss on Spain and its ****e football clubs. As a lad you should dream of playing for the club you support, in the league we all love. If your dream is to play Tika taka bullshit over in Spain, you need to check yourself!
Utd and Pool aren't the sides they used to be and they're no longer feared throughout Europe, as funny as it was watching Woolwich getting torn a new one, every side in the country probably would've suffered a similar fate. The Premier League is the best domestic competition to watch due to it being much more competitive but our teams are nowhere near the level of Bayern, Barca (despite PSG result) and Real.
Tottenham, always Tottenham.....used to be Gazza....then to dispatch my 2 yard blockbuster after a mesmerizing 6 yard run, i used to become Gary Lineker....boom, in off the the jumper/school bag.
So you are one of the ones who suck them off, that Luvvy mentioned earlier. Bayern are nothing exceptional mate. Honestly, they are a very good side, but I would have fancied Chelsea's, United's or City's chances against this Bayern side. Liverpool are a little to open at the back and I think Spurs would struggle to hit them on the break for their lack of pace, but honestly, the way people exalt these teams is silly.
We're on a shoestring now, especially with the new stadium to be paid for. If MP stays, and he's given the right backing once the stadium is paid for, then yes, we should be capable of mounting a consistent challenge. One of the reasons I like young players is that the best ones don't give a **** about reputations. They're trying to make a name for themselves and so they relish doing it against the so called best of the best.
