Anyone ever watched boxing at Wembley? Thinking of paying over the odds for Joshua/Klitschko tickets as it lands on my birthday... Worried about the view tbh...
Yeah thanks for that, one of those is my dad's - I'm not allowed to go in case I set the place on fire or something.
Appreciate the info mate, cheers. Valetta was already on the agenda (you were right about it being the capital) but Mellieha was never mentioned so I'll definitely have a look into going there. Just looked at where Gozo is, might be tricky to cram it in what with needing a ferry crossing and all but it's still a possibility, especially if we do visit Mellieha. I wanna try and view as much of the country as I can, even if we do only have just a long weekend out there.
Can't imagine it being great to be honest, unless you're talking of ringside/ near ringside seats? I only say that because I went to the Haye and Chisora fight at Upton Park a few years back, considering the stadium is more compact and the stands are closer to the pitch than Wembley, the view was still pretty average. Our seats were in the front row of the upper tier, don't get me wrong it wasn't a terrible view and we could easily see every punch land but I just imagined it to be a better for some reason. The atmosphere was great though and it was a good day out all in all.
They make amazing furniture in Gozo, my dad fitted his villa really nicely from Gozo made stuff ... apparently. I think lots of tourists go to Mellieha, Popeye village etc. is very close (I think).
@Dier Hard If you're going with kids or you're a big kid at heart, check this out https://popeyemalta.com/
I'm 27 mate and way too immature for kids at the moment, although the missus keeps hinting (). I'm a big kid though so I won't say no to it
It's supposed to be a really decent place to go for a day out, so if you're getting a hire car it's probably worth a visit, as you could combine it with visiting Mellieha... Or not, if you prefer
