The midfield is letting them down this season, they would still have enough to finish in the top 2 in the PL though.

 

It felt like there was a massive gap between their front 3 and back 4. That never helps and will make it hard for any midfield, no matter how good they are. Just feels as though they are disorganised more than anything, plus the players that have come in do not look all that great.

 

They were awful on the night and PSG were very good but there are some OTT reactions. Leaving Rakotic out was a big mistake and the lad at RB was as bad as Moreno. I'd maybe offer him to Barca for a couple of million.

They could still win the Copa del rey and challenge for La Liga and there is plenty of talent in the sqaud. The manager will cop for it and they will come again and to be brutally honest its still possible neither Pool or Utd will be in the CL next year but hopefully just Utd playing on Thursdays again.

 

Given that at his last two clubs when he has wanted to leave he has bitten someone the next few months could be interesting

99.99 percent sure that Barca are not going to make it. They are going to concede a goal or two.

Can't stand Luis Enrique. Been carried by a world class attack.

 

Gone off the boil this season. He still had to make the world class attack function.

You can have all the best attacking players like barca and real, but before zidane, that real team never had any balance to it as they were always forced to play all their strikers.

Its like with England (although i think english players are overrated), we always have certain positions stacked and think we should play them all rather than choosing the best team. The Italians certainly did that when they always played Del Piero or Totti but never together whereas we were more happy to shoehorn Lampard and Gerrard together when they hadn't worked together for 8 years

 

IMO enrique was a decent guy and a better player than pep ever was but its been poor.

the barca back line and midfield have imploded over successive years and its just a gravy train for the forwards in contracts

I personally think neymar, suarez and messi have been perfectly balanced but the midfield behind it has imploded. rakitic isn't fancied by enrique and thats his loss.
