Where did you drink? I'm thinking of going Baker Street until a couple of hours before then heading over there as that's the side we've got.

we are going but we're a "cheat" as we use my mate's Club Wembley tickets. My Saints bro in law is doing it the hardcore fan way by cashing in the family season ticket but in my defence I will pay for the beer and put him up for the night!

There's actually hotels a lot cheaper than I thought quite near to Wembley. Though I don't mind being that near really.

<laugh> Now you're on my manor. I live in N10, work in N4, used to live in N16.

N16 - Stoke Newington - was rocking back in the day. All the pubs were full of Irish and West Indians, and on a Saturday night down Stoke Newington High Street, most of the pubs would have either a live reggae band, or an Irish ceilagh band. But it was seriously rough, you wouldn't really want to bring your kids up round there; Amhurst Road was known as Murder Mile, or the Front Line. Now it's yuppie central, all the houses have been bought up by rich hipsters.

N4 - Finsbury Park, just up the road from The Emirates, is still a bit rough. In fact the area round the station looks like Beirut on a Saturday night. It's slowly going up market though, bit like Tottenham in that respect. One of the last holdouts of working class London, but the theatres, coffee shops and artisan bakeries are moving in.

N10 - Muswell Hill - has always been middle class in a slightly pretentious arty farty way. That's why I moved up here 25 years ago :emoticon-0105-wink:

**** knows where my son's generation will end up settling down. Driven out to places like Luton and Stevenage I suppose.

Found that post interesting mate cheers <ok>

Some fairly cheap in N10... National hotel about £50... like I say there's cheaper than I thought all round really... will probably wait until mid next week and see if I can book something last minute, or just man it up and get a national express at 7:00am on the day.

Really not feeling the train, with Bournemouth engineering works going to be a ****ing nightmare <yikes>

I visit Muswell Hill often, I have a few beers in The Maid of Muswell which is a decent pub.

They don't allow sheep in pubs. Where the **** do you live for that to be OK?
