I answered your question, make an attempt to answer mine, as you claim to know my position? Or don't bother, which is probably best for you.

Good for you. So you read the original posts I had to re-quote to explain that I had voiced a reasonable position very early on, which were overlooked or ignored, yet you decided to warn me and not those doing the ignoring. Hmm, good reading skills.

I objected to Spooks so-called joke. We don't allow politics or religion, but we tolerate that ****e. The rest was what it was.

You ignore the 'illegal' element of the trade and what that generates, beyond money and addiction.

Is it a thread you have been active in? Look at the discussion, what's your view of drugs?

I ignored your reasonable answers and continued to post nonsense about your views? I think you're getting a bit mixed up now. There was no ill feeling between us on this thread until you upped the ante by accusing me of 'blathering', then ratcheted it up again by saying to me: "you're a blinkered fool and your thoughts are worthless."

    Just give it up, Fez.

**** me, as if this is still going.

Although I resent being labelled a 'Daily Mailer', on the grounds that it represents completely the opposite of everything I stand for in every single way. It's a piece of **** newspaper that has no more place in the world than Al-Queda does.

My opinion of drugs is my own, just as everybody else's is. I'd rather not do cocaine, or pills, or MDMA, because I don't have to. I drink, I have the occasional cig and that's enough. But that's me. I got my facts wrong, happily corrected and I've learned something but it doesn't change my opinion of drugs, legal or otherwise. If you're choosing to compare alcohol to cocaine, to me you're looking for a reason to justify your actions, as you're taking something considered rather mundane and comparing it to something a bit taboo which then suggests, from a psychological standpoint, there's a gap in your psyche where everybody else who doesn't do cocaine gets their happiness from. You need to go above and beyond the usual amounts of pleasure, which to me is unnecessary. But I'm not everybody else. If you're getting pissed that people don't like other people that do drugs, it's probably because society decided a while back that it wasn't a good idea and generally speaking things that society don't like, such as illegal drugs, hardcore porn and Gary Bucey, don't suddenly become accepted just because a minority of the population flaunt the law to do it (I've never done Gary Bucey, but I hear it's horrifying.) And while many 'high class' people seem to do drugs, it's not something that generally favours a decent shot at a career. Try being a doctor, lawyer, teacher or any other professional job with an open cocaine habit. Most people in my experience (which, having lived in Leicester and been on numerous nights out in cocaine rife night clubs - Life, Liquid, most of the west end in Leicester, not to mention a good majority of the ones in Hull, Newcastle, Manchester and Nottingham - is a fair old lot) who do cocaine have some sort of Arsenal FC haircut, drive an Audi A3 on a poor finance deal, use the word 'banter' and have **** sleeve tattoos. Or as they're known in England, ****s (my friends included, although it's a semi-endearing term to them).

And don't get your titties in a twist about the killing spree thing, either. Yes it was crass, no I'm not apologising for it, no it wasn't serious, yes I might be bluffing, no I haven't killed yet. But the day has just started. Your response to this will probably involve the word 'bollocks', 'nonsense' or some other **** put down, but this took about 30 seconds to write, so who the hell really cares?

Put that in the Daily Mail, cockwombles.

    Bollocks and nonsense.

Comparing drugs to alcohol isn't about a need to justify my actions, it's about highlighting the blinkered hypocrisy of people like yourself.

It's typical of something you say to someone who constantly ignores what you write and criticises you harshly for something you didn't write. You did that, I proved it a few posts back.

Perhaps you should either apologise for getting it badly wrong or continue being a blatherer; although, having set the record straight it bothers me not at all.

I have a view on drugs, Scarb, just that. I have been amongst them for many years, sometimes professionally, sometimes simply socially like a great many people. I am fairly tolerant of casual users who don't make their choices impact on others, but I'm the same with drink and tobacco.

What I do draw the line over is any connection to kids, whether that is casual, flippant or contrived. The one thing I do know is that once a connection is accepted and taken as banter, just a bit of fun, or 'you didn't really think I meant that did ya!', it opens the door for more and that is usually worse, often far worse.

We can read reports almost daily of instances of adults befriending kids with grown-up things, like booze and drugs, often as a passport to sex; the reality is that you might not read it, as only the very big organised cases make national news, the rest are not now as newsworthy and stay in the local rag. Sad that it is so commonplace.

What I did was say no, on our board, to a very questionable remark - let's be clear, it wasn't a joke, there was nothing funny about it. The rest was people defending it and putting words into my mouth to do so and that was wrong.

What strikes me as sad is that some thought it more important to whinge about a discusion about drugs, on a thread about drugs and showed no concern over a gratuitous and strange remark that was clearly thrown out for effect.. That's the end of it for me, places to go, on my least favourite day of the year.

I really don't know what you are getting at. I had no idea how you'd feel about this, which is precisely why I asked. Now you've given me the answer, I simply thought 'oh'.

What do you mean by that? Someone who holds a personal opinion and won't change that cos it differs from others? Well what a ****...

And I do love the way you in particular have a go at people for this, as if in such occasions a single person is just randomly posting to nobody. If you don't want a discussion with someone with a different viewpoint, then don't reply to their views. It's not ****ing rocket surgery.

We're just not seeing eye to eye on this one. I feel like my argument is being skewed off at a tangent. Not sure how you can say that I've ignored the illegal element, as I've made it clear that I think if it wasn't illegal, that problem wouldn't be there, thus not seeing it as relevant to the debate I thought I was talking part in.

I'm not sure what you're on about now, Fez. You passed a smart-arse comment in my direction early on in the thread, with no provocation from me, I rose to your challenge and you've been pissing your pants about it ever since.

Never known anyone murder there granny for a pint or a ***

But do know of those who murder granny for drug money

Also do know **** bags who went out of the way to get a girlfriend hooked on drugs and then had girlfriend selling themselves to creeps for drug money

Do know people murdered by drug dealers

Do know good people I could trust to leave in my house with cash on the side who became so ****ed up with drugs I would not have them in my home.

    Drug dealers ?

    I would shot them all

Drugs in my opinion are a curse on society and a danger to all young people as well as being the cause of so much crime

My advice to any young person would be to avoid drugs like the plague.

You will never have **** all in life IF you become an addict.

    Just my view

    Amen Filey.

I have dipped out of this thread on purpose as there's too many pro drug users on here.

I have seen at first hand how drugs ruin lives a lad I shared a house with at Uni dead at 26 having just become a Dad. I was at the Christening for his lad in the April then 3 months later I was at his funeral.

This was a bright lad as well - seriously clever. Ended up working in London for one of the worlds top IT companies. Unfortunately complications related to drug use took their toll.

Drugs ruin lives. Vehemently against drugs, users, dealers and anyone associated with it.
