bah some late goals again huddesfield just do not know when they are beat ...they are the main danger like def
Maybe so but 4 points from 6 from two away games in 4 days is a good return. Brighton will be more pissed off than us.
But away is our thing though, we seem to play better away than home. Both games we dominated and it should have been 6 points. Yes our result is better than Brighton's, but it's not like 09 when it was just us and West Brom tearing away, we have a snapping pack at our heals this time and every time we drop points they close in.
The little run coming up of three back to back away games against Brighton, Huddersfield and Reading is going to be critical.
I didn't see the game tonight but it's a huge stretch to say we dominated v Wolves. We played very poorly and grinded out the result. The pack isn't necessarily a bad thing because it does keep the team focused.
I'm not sure about that. Regardless of how the game played out, I think that is a point gained towards promotion away to a potential promotion rival. Brighton not winning is a bonus. No matter how many shortcomings we can see in recent performances, we are the ones leading the league and it is the other teams who need to keep winning rather than us. Not suggesting we don't still have a lot of work to do, but that's another round of games used up and we still have a cushion to third place.
I just think it was the perfect time to extend the gap, with Brighton dropping points and before the potentially tricky run. We were well on top and only came away with a point due to a badly defended first goal and a second goal that was was literally right out of the What Happened Next round of A Question Of Sport. Given how we dominated and how bad the goals were, I can't help but see it as anything other than points dropped, no matter how good the opposition were on paper.
Let us be honest, we gifted a decent side on a good run 2 goals tonight. Darlows goal will be shown on TV for years to come and Lascelles was defending like he did v's QPR. He is a kamikaze pilot at times and must think he's better than he actually is. There is a real danger now in Huddersfield who just do not know the word losing. Time after time they fight back to scrape wins through sheer determination. That 7 days at the end of Feb. is a real cruncher for us, hopefully playing away seems to see us play better so fingers crossed we upset some of the chasers.
Huddersfield play City in the cup Saturday then Reading the Tuesday night..heavy schedule.. We should be 8 clear come the Tuesday after smashing villa pressure on Huddersfield.
Just seen the highlights on Sky. Bummer that we only got a point, as we created loads. Got to be happy really. If we keep playing like that we'll be fine.
http://www.skysports.com/football/norwich-vs-newcastle/358487 We seem unlucky not to win going off these admittedly short highlights.
Not a bad point at all against a side bang in form. Plus, another top side we don't have to play again this season. The way the fixtures fell tonight there was always the possibility of dropping points from the gap to third but most of the sides below us still have us, brighton and the others around them to play Ebb and flow - this league is way stronger than last time.
Sky can guck off, we had equally as many chances as you. I would have been happy with 5-5, that would have been fair. Shelvey v Tettey in midfield was brilliant to watch. Really enjoyable game to watch and fantastic turn out from your fans. Good luck, it's yours to lose.
