Who do people think will be the three for the Premiership trap door this season. For what its worth I'm going for; 18. Newcastle. 19. Blackburn. 20. QPR. We will finish a solid 14th.
I hope Swansea really enjoy themselves, grab a couple of scalps and play some good football.. similar to us, you've shot up through the leagues and have lived the Wembley dream.. everyone will love you at first (until you beat them!) but expect you to be relegated. The usual pattern is to surprise a few early doors and be top 10 for a couple of months then slide downwards. A couple of smaller clubs have held on for a second season (Reading, Hull City) but gone the next, a couple have had a real go but popped straight back down (Burnley, Blackpool), one got hammered (Derby) one has frequently yo-yo'ed (WBA), a couple more have established themselves (Stoke, Fulham, Bolton) one has survived against all odds (Wigan), one got rich (Sunderland).. then there are the Leeds & Pompeys.. and the Brum... I don't really want to predict the bottom 3, for me the jury is still out on Wolves, Warnock has never proved himself in the PL so I suspect QPR will struggle.. Swansea will fight.. I'd be worried if I were Newcastle.. Blackburn usually do enough..
The 3 promoted sides. Sorry! For what it's worth, of the sides realistically in the mix I'd WANT Wigan, Blackburn and Wolves. Aston Villa and Sunderland are too good to go down, but I can't ****ing stand them.
actually hoping all 3 promoted sides stay up, going for wolves, blackburn and wigan (smokie Newcastle)
I think villa will struggle this year! sold key players and havent really replaced them. I think we may be dragged into a relagation battle at some point but i see us finishing a safe 14th/15th. Villa Wolves QPR
It will be between, Aston Villa, Blackburn, Fulham, Norwich, QPR, Stoke, Swansea, West Brom, Wigan, Wolves. These should form the bottom half of the tableand I will go for a bottom three of: not in any particular order - Blackburn, Wigan & Wolves with West Brom in a huge fight!!
I don't agree with Sunderland being in bottom 6. Bruce has brought in some quality this summer , and squad looks much more robust than last season. I don't see them finishing lower than 12th. I would go for Newcastle , wolves , Wigan , QPR , Norwich , Blackburn to fight it out (we may well also be in the mix but my heart hopes we can be safe well before last two games of the season).
Wigan and Newcastle are the two I've seen that have lost players without signing replacements so I'll plump for those two right now. The third I think may well be Blackburn as they just lost Kalanic and have not signed anyone to convince me they won't struggle. Also in the mix are Wolves, WBA, and the three promoted clubs but I see enough about all those to stay up.
Why do so many of you say Newcastle (sucked into the media hype)? You realise if Enrique is replaced our squad is markedly stronger than last season?
I just can't see Newcastle being relegated at all, as I said above I reckon fulham will be the strugglers this season together with wolves and QPR
