What, you expect us to incorporate relegation into a plan from 2007? Yeah just get back into Europe after 3 seasons in the PL...

 

Are we really supposed to keep funding a club that is admitting we are not aiming to win anything???

 

What? Pardew himself said he will have a go at winning the carling cup. Ashley won't be the owner forever and I still feel that if a big offer came in for the club he would accept it. Why would he buy a club and constantly put it in turmoil?

Oh I'm sorry, he set out to relegate us? And it was the players fault as much as Ashley's, the quality in that side could have been in Europe.

 

No he didn't but if he had a brain he would know that reinstating KK , then getting a director football to sign players for him causing KK to leave , would lead to a disaster.

 

So he says we can't spend as much Man U, Man City or Arsenal and you all get mad?! It's true, and we all know it, and theres nothing offensive about that. Are the days of big "Michael Owen" signings behind us for the time being? Clearly, and everyone should know that too. But for whatever reason when he says that, he gets thrown under the bus.

I think we all agree that the players should take some blame but it was Ashley's stupid footballing decisions that got us relegated. We wouldn't have went down with Keegan, they ****ed him over and it just went downhill, he made bad decision after bad decision, and if you are going to make rash/terrible decisions, you have to expect the worst outcome. Had he not been such a clueless ****, which he clearly still is, then we wouldn't be in this situation.

I know Ashley is absolutely clueless and 08/09 proved that, but he didnt try to relegate us and you cant blame him for making a new 5 year plan. I bet the original didnt say "make sure you get relegated but come straight back up".

 

I think I'd rather have Vlad 'The Impaler' Romanov in charge than Ashley. Maybe we could do a swap with Hearts.

I know we won't spend as much. As those clubs, but we aren't even spending as much as Wolves, Stoke, West Ham, West Brom. If we aren't matching those teams when we have brought in 5x what they have and 10x what they bring in through the fan base then what chance do we have? Freebies will only get us so far, no one knows if Ba or Marveaux will be brilliant, and from what I have seen of Ba, we clearly need 2 strikers, and proper strikers cost money.

We have an owner that is happy to give Shola a new contract, but not Barton. That says it all to me.

I know he didn't try , but ultimately he did and he was to blame for it. Sorry but you can't expect a positive outcome with the ludicrous decisions he made at the club in the past 3 years. So what does the next plan say?

5 year plan , Europe in 2016 , although if we get relegated during that period , we'll restart and make a new 5 year plan.

 

Ashley is a bad owner and I would love to see him go but he did get rid of our debt and when eventually he does sell us we are in a good stable condition financially.
