My friends are full grown adults and are free to make their own choices. I wish they wouldn't do it, but it's up to them, they work and can spend their money on what they want. I understand well enough why people choose to take them, I just can't sympathise with those decisions. In fairness, most of the people that end up in the morgue are old people. Except the kid who died of burns, that was horrendous. I haven't had a cig, I now only smoke when I go out, which isn't often, maybe once a month. I don't feel compelled to smoke during the day, I'm too busy at work and then when I get home I just don't bother anymore. I used to smoke 20 a day, but not with 2 mortgages to pay for now. I'm trying to get back into 11 a side too, which has helped with the fitness.
I would usually ignore and mock anyone who starts a sentence with "I think you'll find..." but I'll bite. I think you'll find that there is a possible link between cannabis and mental issues but it's mostly linked to the developing brain and the tobacco that it's consumed with. A slightly more difficult and frankly boring Google Scholar search is all you'll need.
You're blathering again. What you said had nothing to do with his remark. Your personal experience doesn't define everyones. He made his remark, you have made yours, they are not the same.
Silly you indeed. When you have seen one of your best mates die through 'misadventure' (drug use) and develop paranoid schizophrenia through drug use, get back to me yeah? Silly ****.
Do you judge them, the way you've been judging 'drug users' on here? To their faces? But you seem to be missing my point, about the number of people who die of illnesses related to smoking and drinking, in comparison to those who die of illnesses relating to 'drugs taking'. They hardly bear comparison. Then I'm no more 'addicted' to my poison as you are to yours.
Oh, whatever. If you really think the guy was genuinely suggesting that children should take drugs, I can't be bothered to argue the toss.
Smoking yes, but I saw plenty of heroin ODs and crack smokers too, far more than drink related deaths. It's not to say it doesn't happen, but the dangers of drugs are significantly higher because they're more concentrated chemically. Hence why you get so many deaths. A line of coke probably isn't going to kill anybody, but a regular coke user would probably end up dead quicker than a smoker or drinker would. I'm not here to judge anybody, I haven't judged you. I took the piss, but I wasn't judging you. As I said, you're free to do whatever you want. I don't know/care who you are, so how could I judge you even if I wanted to?
It's what he said. Some folk have odd takes on life; prisons are full of them, even more walk amongst us. If you are telling me that children are not embroiled in the worldwide evil of drugs (which does lead to child abuse and child prostitution- right on our doorsteps) then you are right not to be bothered, because you're a blinkered fool and your thoughts are worthless.
