Back down to Earth, normal service resumed, reality check... The press are really spoiled for choice for headlines on this one. This fortnight has perfectly captured how torturous it is following this shambles of a club. Cautious optimism after a 0-0 against Spurs, unbridled joy after thrashing a relegation rival in a crunch game, then utter capitulation today in a game against a team in poor form with one eye on a cup final. At any other club this long series of capitulations would be unacceptable, but at this club the higher-ups know that the fans will still come back through the gates and get back on the buses for the next away game. The recent 'Keep The Faith' documentary, while having a few nice moments, just sums up everything that's wrong with this club's mentality over the last five years, as if scraping to survival every year is something to be celebrated. The fans will keep turning up and keep getting mugged off by the players, management and owner, time and time again. Farcical.
They did not give a frig today that's what, too many players soft as ****e, first 20 mins they got in there and the usual cave in after we go a goal down, no player in the transfer window either, relegation now definite. It looks like we need to win 5 out of the last 6 again hehe.
The players have to take responsibility today, we were more than competing until the first goal. No good blaming Moyes or Short on this one(and I love to blame Short). The players arses went. Pathetic spineless excuse for footballers.
Have they apologised or have they just stopped doing that now? It seemed like they spent the entire week showing that they care, then just imploded.
Don't think it's that they don't care. I just think they scare too easy. Bunch of ****ing mice, they need to locate their balls.
Them useless ****ers are about as much use as a load of grey seal cubs in culling season. They deserve a cosh on the head. Januzaj would die within 2 minutes being with that lot.
It's Baltic in New York at the moment. They're there for cold weather training and are going to be drilled round central park so you're maybe not too far off there mate.
I'll be there for the city game like a sad ginger **** I Am LOL nothing more we can do. Life goes on.
I looked at the team sheet before kick off and thought "strongest bench this season. Strongest squad this season" then they played ok and looked determined for 20 minutes (without a shot mind) then they, as bri says, turned to ****. I have been thinking similar to the op for ages. One week we have hope. A chance to get there. A chance to rub the pundits, who have relegated us over and over again, noses in it. Then the players give the pundits the same chance to say 'told you so" Sick of saying "thanks for small mercies" with the other results. How about our own chicken **** players male those other results mean something positive.
They are useless c*nts and for the 1st time ever I am seriously considering jacking it in. (I probably wont). The plan is now to go to the pub, have a few gargles, enjoy the craic and then watch Jeff n the p*ssheads reporting on the matches. We get a couple of hours extra drinking and we dont have to watch spineless f*cking b*stards capitulate ONCE AGAIN.
