Alf is banged up in armley, was part of a peado ring. He used to smear his face with bisto and go driving a taxi in halifax.

My 20 year old is at university at Keele now, and he views me completely differently than he did a few years ago.<laugh>

Sometimes they embarrass you to hell and back, and it feels like one step forward and 2 steps back, and you just can't understand why they just can't grasp the concepts you're trying to get across.Thing is, he thinks just the same about you, and his mates think the same about their dads. Hold on tight bud, it's a roller-coaster.

To put it in perspective, he's healthy enough to give you a hard time, go with it. My daughter was diagnosed with stage 4 Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma on 1st June last year, 2 weeks after her 17th birthday. Couple on here knew, not many - good news is, she got the all-clear on Thursday this week. Yesterday, Friday, she got a tattoo. We'd had a lot of ups and downs before she got ill, now she's raring to get at the life ahead and I'm going to let her at it. I'll get her back over to ER at some point too.

In the end, it's about getting them through, and you'll both find a way and from the sounds of it, I think you'll be very tight in the long run.

And for what it's worth, the craic on here has helped me along at times, sod the football analysis.

Have to say though, I've coined a new noun for LL, he's a wumker. Cross between a WUM and a ...<cheers><cheers>

I tend to agree. He clearly hasn't learned 'man on' yet :D Did you notice that he kept coming infield & always gave the ball to Hernandez? I also thought Dallas played well & was surprised that he was first for the hook. I must say that I actually enjoyed the first half. Frustrating, yes, but never thought for a moment we'd lose & was thoroughly entertained. Not like us to have a good 1st half & bad second.

Thought Cooper had a good game too. Was as good as anyone else, if not better. But you do have a point about introducing Pedraza too early. Perhaps his ER debut should have been the last 20 mins of a game we're on top of, to get him introduced slowly. You'd think Barrow was better suited in terms of knowing what to expect.

Not happy about Ayling. Quite apart from losing the scorer of their first that he was supposed to be marking, he's still not cutting out crosses. Bread & butter for a RB, but he's never cut the mustard in this department & still isn't.

Probably did Marcos, though I don't remember - would probably have been more to do with being a twat than having a hard time though <laugh> The beer's a definite. <ok>

Good luck sorting out your lad.
