Anyone else feeling less panicky about the Final after today? Nice to see that we can pass the ball and play decent football. I know Sunderland are not Manure but then we only need one goal not four at Wembley. Sounds familiar.

There were several no nonsense tackles from Romeu and Cedric, they took the ball and and a chunk of player afterwards. They were fair tackles but you could understand if the ref gave a free kick. Thought the ref had a good game, free flowing enjoyable game

No complaints from me you lads. For the first half hour I thought we were carrying on from where we left off at Palace. If we`d hit the net in that time it may well have been a completely different game. It didn`t happen and, after the initial spell we had nothing more to offer. Fair do`s

That Gabbiadini lad looks like a top find.

Get in there and lift that trophy. <ok>

I can understand JRod being frustrated.
After his performance, last week, this was his last competitive opportunity to make amends, before the final.
The impact of Manolo, has pretty much guaranteed, that JRod will not make the starting lineup. Long is ahead of him, and now scoring, which makes Jay third choice.
Unless we are desperate for goals, in the final, he "may" just be there to make up the numbers, and today's frustration was probably him realising that.

On the whole I think Moyes didn't play well at all today.

Well done, good performance today, once you went ahead Sunderland heads went down and you dictated the play.

It could have been six or seven at the end, though that was where Sunderlands defence was at.....sixes and sevens.

    Well done <applause>

Cheers mate but I think we might be done for this time. Relying (yet again) on 3 teams worse than us. Boardroom incompetence is the main problem imo but it`s not something we have any control over. We`re running out of straws I think.

I noticed that. I also noticed your avatar. I think this is my first visit to your board. That`s a very fine rump. Worthy of further visits I reckon. <devil>

I'm back! Phew. Weird game. We got battered for 20 minutes. Then changed to something that may or may not be 4-2-3-1. After that we barely missed a pass and every attack was dangerous. Meanwhile Sunderland went from quite good to horribly bad. Bertrand's touch and cross for the first goal was the best bit of skill in the match. Gabby is very good at scoring those goals that aren't unmissible tap ins at quite a useful time (and Ryan is good at making them). I'd like to pick an individual player but I really can't.

A few weeks ago we wouldn't have had the capacity to make that change in the 20th minute, and we'd probably not have won. But now we have more than one day at the training ground and we can actually work out two(!!) possible different tactics. So I'm a very happy Happy Clapper tonight. Someone should write a quite rambling thread about that. Only two more wins to stay up.

edit: I copy + pasted wrong
