Just gonna throw this out there for no particular reason other than that the merry-go-round of emotions this season has often made me dizzy.

Don't get too low when you lose, don't get too high when you win. Feel free to call me a killjoy!

Genuinely amazed we kept a clean sheet. Great result and performance.

We have discovered a new formation too - never seen us play 4-2-3-1 before (!)

Should get the feel good factor back for wembley....excited now

Or don't party when we win, and don't make **** when we lose? :bandit:

    Wise words <whistle>

Agree on the point though mate... my reason for being 'high' is more because Wembley is our next game <laugh>

That makes total sense and isn't too much of a loss. Gabbiadini and Austin will probably both be ahead of him in the pecking order, Long might be too and now his electric pace has gone I don't think he'd be that effective out wide.

We've done good for Jay. Worked him back to fitness, new contract, and lots of game time. If he leaves, then I'm sure he'll appreciate his time here. His brother may not feel the same........

Mustn't be too greedy. Save the other four for Wembley.

I am sorry to say but Jay is finished at this level. His dad and his brother can say what they like and Jay can throw tantrums but it is the end of the line. He was crap last week.

Agreed. And in all honesty, he'd be better off elsewhere. Burnley.? They may look after him as well as Saints have.

I can kind of understand his frustration. Big injury at the height of his career, coming back and only playing sporadically must be frustrating. Not saying we're doing anything wrong by not playing him, we do have better options ahead of him now, but I can see why he's upset. It can't be easy going from one of the best players in the team - international call ups etc to being a squad player.

I would be happy for him if he got a move somewhere he could play football regularly, I believe he's a hard working guy and deserves it. He's just not quite good enough for us anymore, with the options we have now.

Just read all the posts since I got in from the match. Sunderland were poor but that was because we were so good after 20 mins. They held Spurs to a 0-0 draw last time and thumped Palace. So no comments about Sunderlasnd giving us the game. Everyone was good today but Oriel was immense and he looked after little Jack. Maya was so calm and assured even after he got winded near the end. The crowd leaving early gave the stadium a wierd atmosphere, so many empty seats. Just need to get Wembley ticket and I will be a very happy grandad.

Yeah I am not going to slag him off for being annoyed now and again. But it shows it may be better for him to move on.

Plus we won't have to put up with his annoying brother and dad any more...

Poor old Jay. Football can be a cruel game as well as a lucrative one sometimes. Good Luck Jay.
