Those people saying it was correct the first Sanchez goal was given because it was accidental. It doesn't matter. Down the years honest refs who see a goal scored with the hand always disallow it. For refs it just doesn't feel right to give a goal in this situation.
What is a natural position when you are going in like that? The referee didn't get it wrong, he didn't see it, he consulted the linesman who was in a great position to see it. Blame the lino.
Positives: 51% possession at the Emirites (doesn't mean anything points-wise but Arsenal usually dominate against all opposition except Europe's finest) 8 corners for Hull City - more than the Gunners (3) Arsenal hanging on at the death until the pen Negatives: The result flatters the opposition Arsenal's first goal shouldn't have stood Gibbs should have recieved a red Clucas' was probably a correct decision but coming on the heels of the two previous decisions, it felt ultra unfair Conclusion: Our team did everything they could, the defensive unit is well-organised, we have good new wingers and a Manager who knows what he's trying to achieve. Arsenal were in a game today and should count themselves lucky
The officials definitely bottled this one completely agree, had it been our defender we would have been down to 10, no doubts.
The first goal was handball and the cheating **** knows it. No need for anyone to go around and around. It's not surprising on here though. Facts are facts.
It's called FOOTBALL for a reason .. not fkn football but you can knock the occasional goal in with your hand !
Why do people think it's ok to score a goal with your hand? Whether it's accidental or not? Over to you Bummer, please explain. This should be interesting.
The thing is, without hitting his hand, it's not going to hit another part of his body and still go in, his hand is in the air away from his body. So by that logic, we should just stick lots of players in the 6 yard box with their arms up and hope a ball hits them from close range at speed and goes in the back of the net. I'm not being funny towards you, if that's your view/knowledge of refereeing, that's fair enough, but that's just the way I see it.
Totally, he was already looking for it, contact was minimal and no where near enough to send a professional athlete tumbling.
You aren't allowed to score goals with your ****ing hands. WHETHER IT'S DELIBERATE OR NOT. I can't believe I'm having to explain this.
