Pissing with rain here - I feel a blunder or two coming on - I hope we are not the culprits!

 

I'll be hanging round in there pre-game too (tall Bernard Butler lookalike in a parka on my tod)

Right. We are going to win today and this is why. My daughter is having a sleep over at a friends tonight so the wife and I have a free pass. I set my thinking cap going and decided that we should make tonight valentines night. So - flicks and a bite to eat. Fancy trying out the new Showtime cinema at West Quay and La La land looks like a nice romantic movie. Horror - only available time today is 16.10. Immediately discounted this on the basis that I should be locked into a stream of the game. Then thought, no I'm going to do this differently. Booked tickets, followed by dinner for 2 at local Italian. Get back in time for motd to see us win. I'm convinced that this is the way of it.

 

I have never felt like this about Saints in all my years of support through good and bad times. I think we have the Indian sign over us....I don't think the team are bad (and I have in the past) nor do I think the manager is dreadful....I just feel that we will lose solely because we are Southampton. It's a weird feeling.

Fortunately for us, Liverpool must have walked under more ladders than we have.

 

We're going to win because they are **** and we're not as bad as everyone seems to think.

 

Like the positivity but that doesn't seem to work most times we play Sunderland

 

I don't think we are that bad and yet we keep losing....I would expect us to get a few draws at least.

 

Two seasons ago I forecast a 0-0 at home!

I'd happily take a draw , though if we lose it'll hardly be unexpected.

Show a little objectivity. We're far better than Sunderland. The odds are in our favour. Seriously, cheer up.

Football isn't played on paper though. Odds are (largely) irrelevant.

It's a stadium we have a poor record at, on form we're one of (the?) Worst teams in the league currently. They're fighting for their lives and we have a **** record away to the bottom sides this year.

We all want to win of course but it's hardly a big leap to suggest it's not too likely. I wouldn't say it's not being objective either.

Anyway, I have two main hopes for today which will make me happy which is a clean sheet and no injuries.

Oh and no silly red cards either!!

It's ok everyone, I am without doubt the worst predictor in prediction league history so I've gone for Sunderland with Defoe to score. I have sacrificed the 6 easy points I would have had for a Saints win and Barry to score just so we win!
