Arsenal will definitely report 60 000 as always I would have been there if I could of got a ticket this week
i remember the pen we conceded when the ball bounced off Elmo onto his hand , and a Pen was given , altho the commentators agreed there was no intent , the hand stopped the ball into the box . . . . fast forward 2 seasons
Can't believe we're not having a go at ref walking off? Youve got to let him know & just put the thought in his head for the2nd half!
A hand being in an unnatural position (not down at the sides) is one of the things that constitutes 'deliberate'.
LAW 12: FOULS AND MISCONDUCT HANDLING THE BALL Handling the ball involves a deliberate act of a player making contact with the ball with the hand or arm. The following must be considered: the movement of the hand towards the ball (not the ball towards the hand) the offender plays for one of the top clubs, especially against a lower club the distance between the opponent and the ball (unexpected ball) the position of the hand does not necessarily mean that there is an infringement touching the ball with an object held in the hand (clothing, shinguard, etc.) is an infringement hitting the ball with a thrown object (boot, shinguard, etc.) is an infringement The goalkeeper has the same restrictions on handling the ball as any other player outside the penalty area. Inside their penalty area, the goalkeeper cannot be guilty of a handling offence incurring a direct free kick or any related sanction but can be guilty of handling offences that incur an indirect free kick
Look at most handballs decisions and the player knows **** all about it. By your rationale a player could jump up and down waving his arms like a windmill and if he had his eyes closed it wouldn't be handball because he wouldn't know anything about it.
That cheating **** should have been made to leave the commentary box while the handball was discussed
I know if it was out of the box a handball would have been given .. His hand even moves towards the ball ...
That's how many tickets will have been sold. Every club does the same. Man Utd often have 10,000 less than a full crowd, 58,000 against Southampton a couple of seasons ago according to Manchester Police but still shown as a 75,000 crowd.
it hit his hand. If it had hit your defenders hand and Arsenal got a penalty for that, you would be fuming.
I don't think it's even comparable to a penalty where it's unintentional, handballing it into the goal has to be a foul.
