He's just looking out for you. We both know you are decent really. Knocking about with the likes of Fosse will lead you down the wrong path.

    Have a good weekend, John.

I work with Vulnerable kids that have been in the system most of their lives, and since the Jungle closed in Calais I've been working with Aslyum Seekers.

Basically we have 30 beds in 5 houses across Dorset, we try and teach them to become independent so they can hopefully move into their own flats etc.

I usually enjoy going in, but when it's a football weekend it's annoying as ****.

:emoticon-0148-yes: Rewarding stuff. Must be very satisfying. I work for a housing association and we've been working with the local authority'a resettlement programme to help rehouse Syrians from refugee camps. It's been really eye opening

    Nice one John.
I've just started a CIH Lvl 4 in housing management - quite interesting tbh.

Sounds like we do some similar things, although I deal with them before they get Refugee status. Can be difficult as I build a bond with them, and 9 out of 10 don't get asylum, so people I get to know well get sent back to a war zone.

We only deal with 16-21 year old's so when I say kids, I mean young adults really.

Challenging as **** at times. About 5 nights ago I got called out at 2am as one kid had set himself on fire outside one of the houses, that kind of **** I have to deal with quite often. Mind you, the kids all have major vulnerabilities, ranging from - substance misuse, mental health, anger issues etc. etc.

Love the job and it pays the bills, happy days.

I'm also learning Arabic, Fasri, Dari, and Kurdish.

This will help massively when the Unaccompanied Child asylum seekers first move in with us. Currently takes them at least 2 months to get the basics of English, so hopefully being able to speak their tongue will be nice for them.

I went to a conference from the CIH yesterday in Leeds. Really interesting day. I'm hoping to take some qualifications myself but I think due to having a degree I'll have to fund it myself apparently which is the issue.

Yours does sound much more challenging tbh, the kind of issues you have raised they still get some support from the council after coming to us so it's a joint effort (not that kind of joint Spurlock).

Respect for learning the languages too!

He's not working John. He does this every time Pool have a game lately. Just watch if Pool win tonight....amazingly Sky's shift will have been cancelled.

Arabic? I read it fluently and understand bits....hard to learn a language unless I find you live in the place that speaks it. Not expecting you to go to Syria...just saying it's not easy no doubt.

As long as he hasn't lied about what he does (as that is the job of some kind of superhuman) then whether he's working tonight or not really I'm not bothered. Would make good sense to cover himself tbh with how Liverpool are going on. As a Leicester fan I should do this but I'm not bothered and will comment loss loss or loss (I've forgotten the other two potential outcomes of a match)

I have a degree too (2 actually but I don't want to blow my own trumpet <whistle>). Fortunately my employer is paying for the qualification as they want me to progress in the company, which is all good.
