All others are but imitations. Sorry, guys. Folk singers sing folk songs best! The Weavers, including the saintly Pete Seeger. http://int.search.myway.com/search/...TlTQ1dQlu2dQy4M&ss=sub&st=tab&tpr=sbt&trs=wtt
I bought this with Sufin Bird (trashman) Domino (Roy orb ) all cover versions in 79/80 including the above on a 12" . B movie physobilly . The Cramps were an aquired taste. I was very influenced by the cover of Vince Taylor "brand new cadillac " which was covered on the London Calling album by the Clash . Regarded critically as the best ever British pure 50's rock n roll recording . The ton up look returned in the early 80s especially in the Soho clubs scene after the Blitz club .
