Hmm ... the first shot Derby had on target was a fee kick minutes before the deflected equaliser - again from a free kick ... as soon as Mahrez came on we took control and it should probably have ended 5-1 (or more) Slimani missed an absolute doozer ... and the ref seemed to give Derby the 'plucky underdog' benefit of the doubt on two nailed on penalties ... Chilwell in the first half and Slimani in first half of extra time.

Given we started with 10 changes from the weekend it wasn't a bad performance over all. <ok>

<rofl>... 'relegation exodus' ... looking forward to collecting my tenner....

On a different note - do you think you can hang on for a Europey place? .. or do you think your downward spiral will leave you out of those spots as well as out of the title race and the cups?

That and Gray's. It was about a better performance last night and although it's all relative taking into account the opposition, it was great to just see some football out from the back and passing moves not Huthball! I think we need to integrate some of those players in on sunday

Funniest thing thie morning was Fat Mickey Quinn on talkShite warbling about disrespecting the FA Cup by changing 10 players etc ..

... however, when Liverpool do it it's because they need to concentrate on more important things ... like trying to secure a Europey place <doh>

Message to fat Michael .... we rotated and won ... lesson for Kloppy Floppy there methinks ...<rofl>

    .
I admire your optimism ... realistically I think you will finish 6th due, primarily, to the depth of your squad compared to the others around you plus the momentum gathering in Manchester ... you might scrape 5th if Arsenal don't sort themselves out soon mind  .

His physique is nowhere near Premier League standards. I know it's a cliche but there is nothing on him and he was stuggling to keep up with play in the second half. Confident we will see more of him next season, he's definitely got the talent but the Premier League was probably a move too soon for him.

Kante not replaced adequately, at least partly due to injuries, Mahrez eyeing the exit door and more games, requiring rotation, basically.
Didn't find it that insightful, to be honest. I suggested that this might happen before the season.

Everyone was saying that you'd crash out of the Champions League, but I didn't see why.
You were in Pot 1 and the counter-attack suits the competition, so I couldn't see you going out.
It's damaged your league form though, as you have less time to prepare, less rest and have to rotate more.
Those results hurt your confidence, your defence was more exposed and it's left you struggling in the league.

I think that you'll probably pick up now that the African Nations is over, Mendy's fit and you've added Ndidi.
Massive game on the weekend, though. Clement's had a massive impact at Swansea.
He's got the Manager of the Month curse now, though. Shame! <laugh>

The BBC article isn't the first I've seen titled with a "What's changed at Leicester" headline.

The only thing that's changed is that things have practically gone back to normality. Just look at the table, the top 6 sides in the country are currently occupying the top 6 positions, while Leicester, who scraped relegation in 14/15, are now again in a relegation dog fight along with the likes of bottom half regulars Swansea, Palace, Sunderland and Bournemouth, along with a couple of newly promoted sides.

I mentioned before on here that Leicester had a dreadful summer, they failed to capitalise on their success by showing no ambition in the transfer window. Selling Kante while signing no one of genuine pedigree to join their squad was just asking for trouble, as good as their season was in 15/16, most neutrals could tell most of their squad just managed to perform out of their skins for a prolonged period and it was only a matter of time (thankfully in Leicester's case enough time to win the Prem) until they fell off the magic carpet so to speak.

I still think they'll survive the drop but I'm not surprised at their plight, it was pretty inevitable, as harsh as that may sound.

I told them that they should realise their limitations and not aim to high this season. I said they should have cashed in on Vardy and Mahrez as they would never, ever, get the sort of money again for them that they was being offered. That money could have been well spent on maintaining a team that could regularly see them finishing around mid-table and maybe spent on improving the youth set-up. It was good advise and advise which is proven to be correct.

However, that is all I will say as every time I talk about that team, I am spewing bile, anti-Leicester and always wrong about them.
