    I went to see the COUM Transmissions exhibition at Humber Street Gallery today. Amongst other things there is a 10 to 15 minute film including a fair amount of Hull in the early 1970s. Its well worth a visit.

    Cannon & Ball was good. Ended up with inlaws too.
    Spoke to someone else at Tuffers last night, he really enjoyed it too

    Steve White was working with C&B last week he was singing their praises too.

    I remember my old Gran seeing them, must have been late 70s, early 80s & her being disappointed because they "weren't like they were on the telly, they swore".

    Yeah I saw Whitey's photo with them
    Actually they didn't swear much, but they were very funny in a classic double act sort of a way
    Saw them in panto (oh yes we did...although that autocorrected to 'panties' which made me wince!) a few years ago and they were hilarious in that too

    Also went to brid spa years ago to see them in the summer season
    And bobby was on the same plane coming home from holiday last year. Lovely fella. His daiughters nice too...

    This country pub in the village oif Skirlaugh ij Holderness, the Duke is popular with locals and visitors in Holderness. The pub was taken over three years agho by owner Lisa Campbell and following a major refurbishment is described as "still keeping its tradition of a country pub but bringing in a modern twist to make the surroundings welcoming comfortable and attractive."

    Opening in 2016, Furley and Co has quickly become a popular attraction on Princes Dock Street in Hull city centre. Known for its huge range of ales and craft beers, Furley's is also home to the Freakshake. The pub is part owned by Beverley landlord Ian Allot.

    Another new addition to Hull's pub scene, the Old House is the brainchild of Shoot the Bull, a city street food company which took over what is claimed to be "Hull's oldest domestic building" and put down roots in Scale Lane.
