From the BBC: Stewart Downing (Aston Villa) £20m* Jordan Henderson (Sunderland) £16m* Charlie Adam (Blackpool) £8.5m* Doni (Roma) Free * - official fee undisclosed
Good point. It should clear up all the nonsense that Jordan Henderson cost £20 million. According to Damien Comolli, reports that he did cost £20 million were ''way off the mark''.
Summer spending, had me a blast Summer spending, happened so fast Bought a player for LFC With a cross sweet as can be Summer sun, something's begun but Oh those Anfield nights Wella wella wella huh....
We won a title number 19. We thrashed Man United the best ever seen. Fergie lay down sunk in the ground. At Old Trafford there wasn't a sound. Summer sun, somethings begun But oh for the summer nights. Wella Wella huh.
What KingPepeReina said. Is some of Stewart Downing's fee paid with add-ons or upfront? Charlie Adam was around £7m + add ons. Doni was cheap Enrique is good business for the reported £6m. Now, a centre-back..
CB I feel might be someone out from nowhere. I think Dann is for sure in the running as is Cahill but wondering if there is a foreign prospect in there somewhere..... Mertesacker is one who has not been linked to us but has stated he wants to move to prem....hmmmmm.
I think so, he offers that towering presence as well. Could be one that sneaks in, hamann puts a cheeky word in and viola.
If we got Per Mertersacker I think it would be perfect spending since FSG arrived. Luis Suarez (£23m) Andy Carroll (£35m) Jordan Henderson (£16m*) Charlie Adam (£7m*) Stewart Downing (£20m) Doni (Free) Jose Enrique (£6m) Per Mertersacker (£??m) *= Guess based on reports.
16 does make it sound more realistic now. I must admit 20 is too much in my book. Are we sure there are no add ons?
B4F. There is more than likely add-ons. However whether they are paid or not is another thing. There is a chance that Roma may never get the £4-£5 million in add-ons for Alberto Aquilani, and its unlikely Liverpool will get the £3 million out of the £19 milliion Spurs owe them in add-ons for Robbie Keane.
