If I recall correctly, he was on loan at Chesterfield the season before and by all accounts, was one of their best players in their promotion winning season. They were well radged that we beat them to his permanent signing but sadly, never seemed to fulfill his potential. We (relatively) spent a lot of coin that season: Alexander (150k), Williams (150k), the blonde haired left back from Oldham (?) and probably more I've forgotten
He was ****, but when he went to Oldham, this happened. I believe he never scored another goal for them...
Yes, it was. They were electric in cup competitions around this time. The season they went up, we beat them at Boundary Park 2-1 - ending some marathon unbeaten spell for them at home.
Mally Lord - didn't like him compared with the stars in the team, but think he was seriously underrated and justified his place.
It's nothing to be sorry for. She's absolutely spot on. Smart as a cookie, she just struggles with writing and reading. It was only diagnosed a year or so ago, and she's had some great help along the way.
Yeah, but we're not talking about how my daughter would spell it. I was just using her interpretation on words as an example. There's loads of different types of Dyslexia. Isn't Ashby - de - la - Zouch pronounced the same as Ashbee? Just saying.
I always thought Mussy was an under rated keeper and couldnt believe that fatty Glennon took the number 1 spot but he showed his worth and got it back
Rob Dewhurst for me. The Master Butcher would slot straight into Marco's current team. His blistering free kicks, "uncompromising" tackling and love of meat pies would surely endear him to the tactical one. To be fair he was one of my hero's as a kid. Another shout could be Warren Joyce in terms of underrated/unappreciated. He was pretty much reviled as Terry Dolan's captain towards the end of that chapter then saved us from death as player manager before being given a kick up the arse in favour of Brian Little.
