    Well, now the news of Jose has sunk in. Its time to actually reflect on what a magnificent servant Jose has been for the club. He stayed with the club at its worse, when he could/probably should have jumped with the rest. He went on to put in some blinding performances. Turning his career around from a flop, to become arguably the best left back in the Premier League.

    I believe he genuinely cares for Newcastle, but at the end of the day, he needs to put himself first. He wants European football, and he's far more likely to get that with Liverpool. Unfortunaley for us.

    I did post a message on the Hate thread at the spur of the moment slagging the ambition of the club over this transfer, but on hindsight. What could they do really? Nothing, Jose wanted to leave. Yes, fair enough it could have been avoided earlier, if Mike didnt have such a strict Transfer policy. But that is just wishful thinking.

    But, what still is grating me, and will for a while. Is that it seems we have somehow managed to make a loss on such a great player. I dont understand the business sense at all. Surely Mike cant have had anything to do with the deal? He'd have wanted a huge profit on it. Surely?

    Hey Ho though, hopefully, Pardew does have a replacement in line, and we dont end up in a position like we did with Carroll in January.

    Agree fantastic bloke and fantastic player. Rather than being bitter about him leaving us because we're not good enough to keep him, I'd prefer to wish him all the best and thank him for his terrific service. I think most fans will remember him fondly and hope he goes on to bigger and better things as he deserves.

    One of the best to play for us , respect the guy for standing by us
