I never really rode bikes or skateboards treb , but I can walk on my hands with the best of them . Down stairs , down a ladder in my younger years , .Kids in the alley would ride there bikes and skateboards and I'd go out at freak them out lol . It's just a talent , like juggling , which I can also do . You should see me juggle 3 apples and eat one at the same time , always a big hit .

I used to have a Grifter and then saved up all of my paper round money and birthday money to buy a *****ose BMX. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever owned ... pure love for a 12 year old.

I bought both my sons Diamond backs as they requested .
I was super poor as a youngster and never owned a bike and am a better man for it . I would change nothing in my upbringing and had very special parents .

Yeah Diamond Backs were great too. I used to have a *****ose Californian with red wheels and tyres. It was pure love. I think they go for anything between £600-£1500 on ebay now.

Yep, we didn't have much when we were younger either. We weren't poor, but we didn't have anything that would be considered a luxury. My folks were traditional working class people and we lived in a council house on a big estate (this was before the days of youth gangs with knives and guns).

I saved up for two years to buy that *****ose and it was the only thing in the world that I wanted. There was a BMX track on the edge of a park near where I lived and that was my world, along with playing football .... until I discovered girls and beer a couple of years later <laugh>

I feel the same about designer labels tbh. Never had them as parents couldn't afford the Fila and all that stuff. The only "in" thing my dad afforded me was one of them dark brown knee length sheepskin coat back in the day when all the kids had them. Not the Arthur Daley ones but the tight long ones. Still remember it now, it cost him £27 at the market. That was the shizzle.

I won't spoil my kids with designer labels, but on certain things I'll pay a bit more for quality for their sake, as I rarely had it.
