Yeah its bonkers, but im not surprised. I suppose part of it is because hes English, with Champ League requirements etc and then his potential as well. But in my opinion hes worth 10 Mil at the most at the moment, maybe less.

He's got a record better than 1 in 2 in the prem (11 in 19 - tried and tested) and he's only 22 so the resale value in a few years could be huge. He's worth more than £10m!*

Not really tried and tested when you're talking about less than 20 games in a 6 month period. Stead got 6 in his first 13 PL appearances having made the bigger leap coming from L2 in January and look what happened to him after they came back from the close season.

They may have got a steal but it was still deadline day! Also you think he is woth more than David Villa??

 

I remember seeing him play against us while on loan for Preston a few years back, he seemed pretty average to say the least. If he's outside his comfort zone he might not be so effective, so thirty million is a big risk. If I had the money I'd gamble though, and I'd sooner have him than Crouch in the team.
