This is for my dad. A rocker then and still.

Also, I used to drink in a pub in South Norwood with a guy, Roger, who drummed with The Pirates for a year just before Johnny Kidd died. Roger was a mad Spur and ****ing hated Arsenal, He passed last year, bless him. His funeral was attended by most of Deep Purple amongst numerous others.

My current next door neighbour is a guitarist in his late 60's, his drummer is .....Clem Cattani, the original Pirates drummer who has played with half of the acts on this thread......including Dusty [Sssshhhh]. He's also a very nice bloke.

And this is my mothers influence - she preferred the singers! The Jazz is in my DNA, and though I found my own music in the 70s this is still with me too

That's amazing! For several years, until recently, I organised the music for our local community's open-air music festival..... and Nine Below Zero headlined for us twice. They were absolutely astonishingly good, and got the whole crowd going. Not just professional, but totally engaged with their audience! A wonderful end to our event on two occasions. Such lovely guys, too. And still going strong! I'd never seen this clip of them before. Thanks for posting it! (When was it? Any date?)

This clip is particularly easy to date as it comes from the 1st Episode of the young ones and that was broadcast In Nov 1982. I have seen them a number of times most recently supporting The Stranglers. And Dennis Greaves lead singer and lead guitar is a Spurs fan
