You might have a point if Skyrimmer and Quentin were not involved ... NSIS is objective enough and Rufus is Rufus <laugh> ... but Sky and Quentin have huge issues with Leicester City winning the title when 'Pool and Spurs can't ... if you haven't noticed that then your reading has been somewhat 'selective' ...

Yes you can knock Vardy this season and rightly so ... but he was excellent last season and he has scored 5 goals for England in 14 appearance (actually 5 in 10 when played as a central striker)... a total not inflated by several against the likes of San Marino - Germany, Holland Turkey, Wales and Spain.

Now I'd bench him at the moment because he is sadly out of form and needs to rekindle his hunger ... but he is a natural goalscorer as his record at every level has shown.

Or maybe people are discussing football? and Leicester's decline is a hot topic for all those who follow the PL to discuss.

Skylarker and Hoddle is a god like this.

  3. It's an interesting discussion to be had, that one.

Given Leicester's set-up, last season, could you have put any Prem-standard striker in Vardy's position, and still have seen them score the important goals.

Because that's what it's about - the important goals. We used to have a striker called Darren Bent who split fan-opinion like no other player I've seen at Spurs. Yes, he could score goals, but they always seemed to be the consolation goal at the end of a good hiding. He never seemed to score the winning goal, or the goal that started a goal-fest.

The one thing that can't be taken away from Vardy is the fact that he did score important goals.

I'm still open to taking a £10 charity bet on that Zanj?... nobody seems that keen to take it mind?

Obviously Quentin is excluded on tthe grounds that he is an amoeba ... oops I meant to say on the the grounds that he has previous and can't be trusted to honour a bet like a man

I didn't think Leicester would do really well this season , but I also didn't think they would do this bad .
In any event to watch the " Top Spending Teams " and their fans , that sh!t the bed last season and watch them this summer only have the " You can't keep onto your best players " to hold onto because they know Leicester won their " Title " with very little money .. while the " Big Clubs " knew they could hold onto their players and spend tons on new ones is ...is , well Priceless .

Discuss anything worth discussing or are you saying I don't talk football on here?

Meh, anyway it doesn't matter. Don't take it personally if I happen to discuss or join in an ongoing debate come the weekend after the Swansea v Leicester game. You know it's a biggie and all eyes will be on it.

" Slightly " .. that's better than I usually get , I'll take it . P.S. How's that " Premier League Trophy " looking in the trophy case when you walk by it , I suspect it give all Fox fans an extra spring in their step ... while some top spending clubs have another bitter spring .

...think many of us are prone to the same malaise as the players ...we fookin' well did it ...whatever comes next we will take ...obviously we'd prefer more success but when the likes of United, City, Chelsea and the Goons think nothing of spending £50 million on a single player and possibly £250 million over a summer, what are the chances of anybody breaking that cartel again? :)
