Yeah I tend to think eat healthyish for main meals then let loose on the snacks, depressing is the right word for it. You've got to like what you're doing or it won't stick. I noticed you asking Billy if he drinks much water because of his salt intake, does it counteract it to some extent? I definitely have too much salt, I sometimes salt my salt.
Can't imagine they are better than fresh but I'm always willing to try something once. I'll pick some up from McColls tonight, it's the only shop in the village. I can get a little box of 10 grapes from there for about a 5a.
I eat a high protein diet during the week ie lots of Chicken, Steak and fish and lots of rice. On a weekend I dont really give a toss and eat whatever i feel like eating. Maintaining a healthy weight is all about balance in my opinion. If you know your going to pig out on a particular meal whether its lunch or evening meal make sure your other meals that day are healthy.
sounds like my local coop. Not counteract as such mate, I wouldn't advocate eating 10x your RDA of salt and just drinking more water to balance it out, but essentially, sort of. I have about 3L per day on average, through drinking plain water and my sodium intake probably exceeds the RDA a few times per week. I cook with good salt though, Himalayan rock salt, not table salt. (Salt snob).
The 5 and 2 diet is the most popular diet ever. Nobody wants to eat clean on a weekend That Joe Wicks lean in 15 is quite good, I started making them meals for the Mrs recently, she's loved every one so far and I'm crap at cooking!
I try my best to eat healthy I don't eat much sugar (apart from beer) It's more difficult now to keep my weight down I'm not as active as I was when I was younger and fit. I try not to eat gunge food but don't always obey
http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/spinach-sweet-potato-tortilla I eat this a lot, it's really easy to make and lasts a good 3 days, I do use coconut oil instead of olive oil and I have it with feta salad and cover it in tobasco sauce.
Interesting, I always suspected it might help but never got confirmation. That Himalayan stuff is for plebs, I only use salt mined by Peruvian pygmies called Dave.
Mine is like the grit from the yellow box across the street in comparison to yours, I bow to your salt superiority.
Having lived the last 3 years as a single father, most of my diet is heavily inspired by what's palatable to a child under 6. Meals are usually very simple- tonight we'll be having lincolnshire sausages, corn on the cob, and raw carrots. More complicated things are always made mostly from scratch with fresh (ish) ingredients, unlike in my previous life when packets and jars formed the basis of nearly every meal.
That's definitely a problem that I'm gonna have to eventually deal with, they say it's all in the prep, cooking for 2/3 different needs every day must just get to a point where you're sat on the sofa eating dinosaurs and beans and stop giving a ****. I have a Ninja blender that I use for my morning shake, it's loud as ****, I can just see my Mrs telling me I have to take it outside to use once we have a young child in the house.
I have two young kids and a vegan wife. I am none vegan. The cooking and then the pots and pans aftermath turn the kitchen into the apocalypse.
