Our pitch has always been poor at the KC. It's now much better than it used to be around this time of year, 10/11 or 11/12 in particular it was absolutely horrific.

Even when it looks good from the stands, if you've ever set foot on it it's easy to tell how bad it actually is.

We should get an artificial surface IMO.

They have played rugby union on Swansea's pitch right through the winter their season being the same time and their pitch looks OK. Rugby union with contested scrums, scrummaging, loose mauls etc hammers a pitch more rugby league. Whatever it is causing the problems it usn't rugby league.
A few other clubs share with union teams and don't have problems either.

They seem to water pitches overnight and at half time nowadays irrespective of the weather. Must be a reason.

Just remembered something else from yesterday, made us chuckle, not sure if anyone else noticed it. In the warm up, goalkeepers with goalkeeping coach, Marshall in net, not very mobile, standing still. On runs the coach, finger wagging him, shouting no, no, no! Making hand gestures to get his feet moving. Looked like a naughty school boy being told off. Not Marshall bashing, just gave us a laugh, at how they were watching closely.

Even on the stream I had I could tell the pitch was cut up. We were supposed to have one of the best pitches in the league during our good times at Boothferry Park.

    Interesting issue here

Will Dio, Mbokani, Maloney & Elmo ever play for us again?

We do have a bigger squad when they all return and the bench is certainly stronger. I'm sure they will have a part to play yet. Ya never know with injuries.

Silva seems to give everyone a chance it's just about if those players take that chance. Dio's first touch is generally a tackle so maybe not him..

Regarding the pitch, it did look bad. How many times has it been relaid presumably at great expense? or do they just get a dodgy receipt and book it to the SMC ensuring the council get nowt again. And the grow lamps, are they being used elsewhere? :emoticon-0105-wink:
